We stayed here for five nights because my school-aged kids attended a camp at UC. I have family in the area, and they recommended this part of town (Oakley/Hyde Park) because of the safe neighborhoods and variety of places to eat/shop. This house checked off all the boxes! It was a quick 15 minute drive to UC.As for the house- it was a beautiful historic home. I can tell the owners tried leaving lots of the original touches to the house, while providing modern amenities like a dishwasher, microwave, and a really nice washer and dryer. I appreciate the small touches such as plenty of towels, a hamper upstairs to make it easier to bring dirty clothes to the basement washer and dryer, condiments and spices for cooking, dishwasher pods, hand soap, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, and toys for my kids to play with. We live in a house that was built in 2012, and it was lovely and refreshing to spend a few nights in such a beautiful, historic, and relaxing home. We enjoyed eating popsicles every afternoon on the front porch, and the big driveway made parking a breeze. The owners provided a very comprehensive guide on the house and neighborhood. I appreciate the coffee recommendations! I loved trying out all of the amazing coffee shops in the area! Next time we visit Cincinnati we will book this house, for sure. I already miss it!
