“The air-conditioning unit put out a horrible smell. Like an old mildewing rancid smell when turned on. I could open the window about 2 inches (which I understand for safety purposes) but it did not alleviate the heat in the room. “House is on a busy corner so there is traffic noise. House is very simple and bare. No bedside lamps in two bedrooms. Only one bathroom has a standing shower, the bathtub in the master has a handheld shower attachment but there isn’t a stand to attach it to.We did not have control of the temperature in the house; they use a remote system so you have to text the host to adjust temperature. Host was accommodating and while we appreciated this we were very surprised by the remote system.Mattresses...

The Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown

10/10 Eccellente
"The hotel is beautifully maintained, and the rooms are very spacious and unique, featuring designer pieces, stylish wallpaper, and rich textures. A wonderful bonus was the complimentary hot drinks available in the morning. The staff is the absolute highlight, incredibly kind and helpful. When we needed a sheets change, they handled it promptly and graciously. The valet parking is also super efficient, run by friendly and quick staff. Tip for future guests: book your parking when reserving the room to save on the standard hotel rate."
