It took half an hour (at 3:30 in the afternoon) for anyone to show up to check us in. And when they did they were barely friendly. One of our rooms was still dirty and not clean. “All the staff I encountered were really great--super cool and conversational, but the room was a real disappointment. I walked through the door and walked into a wall of stench. It smelled like wet dogs had vacationed in the room. I usually sleep like a rock, but the stink kept me awake for a while. The shower was also not clean. ”

“Updated rooms and hallways. Staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I like that it’s kind of tucked away in a real neighborhood, 100 yards from a Safeway and on a pretty walking path along the river. I’ve never felt unsafe arriving late. ”

“We stayed in different rooms on April 29 and on May 1, 2026. The rooms seemed recently renovated. This is a no-frills accommodation: there are a little refrigerator and cups, but no coffee-maker. The concierge on each night was welcoming and competent. My only complaint is that on the second night, our supposedly non-smoking room smelled strongly of stale tobacco smoke.
