“This cabin is in an amazing location. My dogs had soooooo much fun running and playing. The only downside is the water. The shower barely trickles out water and the tap water is rusty and red. They do have a great filtration system for drinking water. There were mouse droppings in the silverware drawers, but that is gonna happen in a rural setting. Just be prepared.”

“Cooke City is a beautiful, quaint little mountain town. Limited restaurants, but they are good. Fox Den cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that is it quite small. There are beds for 5, but it felt crowded with just 2 people. Hosts were extremely helpful and quick to respond to messages.”

“We arrived in the evening and were provided directions and door codes to our cabins ahead of time which was great after a long day of travel. The cabins were great for our family and can’t say enough good things about being there. There is a beautiful outdoor pool area and play structure and in ground trampoline. The location is perfect to begin the beautiful Beartooth Highway to Red Lodge and enter Yellowstone National Park. So interesting to realize that this cabin was a gas station so many years ago!”

“The location is perfect if you are spending time in Lamar Valley. Very small rustic cabin, but it worked well for our visit to Yellowstone. Be aware that early in the season there is not much open in Silvergate or nearby Cooke City. Plan dining accordingly. There is a small refrigerator in the cabin, and a coffee pot and microwave.”
