“The room was clean, but smelled musty. There is a property across the street with a torn down building and that was our view. Not great. Parking was free and convenient. We are Marriott members and my wife accidently left an important electrical cord behind and the hotel never did tell us about it.”

“This was a complete 180 from staying at the super motel in Joliet Illinois. Everything was super clean. Staff was excellent. Even at breakfast time. I asked for a banana, and the lady stopped what she was doing and she said I will get that for you, sir I will be right back. And she actually brought it to me. Those type of customer service skills you cannot teach. From check-in to check out…..excellent excellent excellent.”

“Based on a lot of reviews I thought this would be a better quick stop than it was. I would have asked for a different room if we got there earlier. The staff is super nice and the breakfast was decent. The room however was crawling with tiny ants. To the point I sprayed bug spray on the side table so they wouldn’t crawl on the bed. I think they had a home in the headboard. I mean a lot of tiny ants. Mold in the bathroom. Just definitely not what I was expecting.”

“While the property was clean, it looked a little outdated but, to us, all the HIG properties look the same. Other than that our room was very nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of places to eat in the area and DoorDash was available. Avoid the Golden Corral just down the street from the hotel. It is awful! It’s dirty and expensive with a minimally attentive staff.”
