Lovely staff. Booked a double but ended up with a larger room. Very homely. Lovely continental breakfast. And excellent location for a trip to Cleethorpes. Only negative - Very firm bed, bit achy today from it.

Never again!
Very disappointed in this hotel as a lot of the amenities quoted in the hotels.com entry simply did not exist or were very rudimentary. It does not have a restaurant, the only food available are panini’s etc. I saw no coffee/tea available in the common areas (as quoted), except in our room. I saw no snack bar/deli. I also saw no availability of a “cooked to order breakfast” available that was mention in the “in Hotel Services”. The car parking only allows for about seven vehicles, less when some of the spaces are used to dump builders rubbish. This was due to the hotel being refurbished which can be forgiven. The restricted parking results in vehicles being parked blocking in others. It was not “quiet” as noted in some reviews, there was a hen party going on our first night with shouting and door banging going on. One fire door was right outside our room and the auto-close mechanism made it bang every time it was opened, once at 4am! The room information stated that breakfast was 7:30am till 10am in the “buffet room”. This was locked till 8:30am on our last morning until 8:30am and only opened then when I rang the hotel door access help line phone number. There was no apology for this. I cannot understand why so many reviews are 10/10.

Hi thanks for your review. I would first like to make the point that in your review you said we don't serve snack food however we serve the toasties which are on the menu you saw and wrote about. We also do serve bar snacks such as nuts crisps and pork scratchings which are available from behind the bar. Coffee and Tea are not free in the bar however if you had requested some for your room from our bar staff you would have received some with no problems. We do rent out our function room for party's and we also have a licence in the bar till past midnight. Regarding the car park yes we had some building work going on however if you did struggle to find a space one of our members of staff would have recommended parking on the main road or down the side of our building which is perfectly legal and most of our guests do choose to do this rather than park in the main car park. If you could please also let us know which amenities don't exist or as you said are 'Rudimentary' again thank you for your review. I look forward to hearing back from you.

1st trip to Cleethorpes
It was a good place to use as a base for travelling around the area in a car. Continental breakfasts were good in a restricted area, parking was good if you got in early, Evening meals were "bar snacks". Room & en suite were decent sizes. Limited house-keeping. Lots of steps inside. Friendly staff.

Hi thank you for your review please could you tell me which days you stayed at the hotel as we do serve evening meals (paninis and Toasties) through the week Tuesday to Saturday from 10-8. We also give our guests an option to take their breakfast into the bar area, beer garden or back to their room there is no restrictions of where you guys can eat :) Thanks Harry

Great Hotel!
The hotel is atop a funky little bar and is in a great location to access the local high street and the seafront promenade. It is a little bit worn around the edges in the interior, but otherwise kept clean and presentable. Our room was comfortable with a spacious bathroom, though there were slight issues with the sash window in the bedroom being broken and only able to be put on a vent with a sliding lock. That, and the wardrobe door handle needed fixing as it came off in my hand. Otherwise the room was greatly acceptable for a comfortable nights sleep, which we had throughout our stay. Even though the hotel is over a bar, we didn't really have any issues with noise in the evenings, which was nice, even when they had an event going on the first night we were there. All in all, a highly recommendable place to stay, though if you intend to stay with heavy luggage, be aware there are a lot of stairs to navigate.

Clean, comfortable and good value
I was just visiting for the day and it was just what I needed. Good location, clean and good value. I would say my only issue was that I had the room by the front door, so heard people arriving / leaving but it wasn’t too bad. Would consider staying again.

Everything was great for a night’s stay including really helpful and friendly staff. The only downside was there was only a few parking spaces, so we had to leave car parked on a side street 5 mins walk away.

Staff are very welcoming, the food is nice slightly disappointed with the portion of chips you get though but other than that it was nice. Rooms are of a decent size. The mattress was a bit firm for my liking but as soon as was in bed I was out like a light. Live band was great. Overall was a nice experience

They can't be bothered, why should you
I did not actually get here. The hotel cancelled the reservation because they were overbooked and then refused to help in finding an alternative. Their main concern was to blame other people for the overbooking, including, it appeared, the customer. As far as I am aware, the problem arose because they used third party software that did not link correctly with the booking sites. Software that fits link correctly is available

the booking was not over booked by us but by a third party booking engine that uses expedia that we don't deal with directly. We did look for an alternative but as the error was not our fault referred this booking back to expedia. we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Not too far from the beach front, nice friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms my only advice is the carpark is alittle tight so if your fortunate enough have a smaller car to take with you it would make parking much easier for yourself and other guests 👍🙂 overall really nice B&B

One day business trip.
Stayed one night and it had everything I needed. Food, bar, warm shower, clean and a bed, with good sized tv. Due to covid, breakfast was in the room, but dinner was great Caribbean food that I found well priced. The host was great and felt very welcomed. All in happy with this find and will stay again.
