“Great location nice full english breakfast, great host. Perfect location for canal side walks to Attenbrough centre. ”

“First of all it could not be found. My sat nav couldn't find it. Varney Rd did not have a street sign and I don't think 44 actually exists. It took over 1 hour to locate this den. The key lockbox is situated on a wall, unmarked, and with all adjacent doors un numbered, on what can only be described as wasteland behind some shops. “Probably one of the best in town. Easy to reach, very clean and run by friendly staff. Also cheap for the quality.”

“The air conditioning wouldn’t work in the room and was reported twice and not repaired. A fan was supplied but that just blew the hot air around the room and was very noisy. I understand that problems occur, but this clearly wasn’t working before we were assigned the room. Finally no discount or future credit for the discomfort was offered. The staff were polite but didn’t seem inclined to solve the issue.”

“Plenty of parking, room nice and quiet. Mattresses were comfy but the single beds felt very narrow also the legs of the bed were angled out and because of the dark colour too, a few stubbed painful toes! Food was a bit on the pricey side £8 for a portion of sweet potato fries! Breakfast was nice, enough choice. And the shower was nice and powerful. ”

While walking barefoot in the room, I felt something sharp under my foot — it was a piece of nail that a previous guest had cut and left on the floor, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly.
