The apartment is in a 16th C building just outside the castle walls of Colle di Val d’Elsa (Colle Alta) a medieval town in Tuscany. It has been completely refurbished, keeping some of the traditional features such as the wooden beams but in a contemporary style which makes it functional and welcoming both for groups of friends or families. It is close to bars and restaurants. Street parking is available near the entrance for short stays and free parking is available a few min walk from the apartment.
It's situated on the first floor, very luminous, with gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside, There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open space kitchen with dinning area and sitting room with sofa bed. It sleeps 8. It is possible to ask for a travel cot for babies.
It is located close to many beautiful towns such as San Gimignano, Volterra and art cities like Siena and Florence. Colle itself is very pretty, with some interesting museums such as the San Pietro Museum, of medieval art, the Crystal Museum, as Colle is one of the first producers of crystal in the world, and has many artisan shops, such as hand crafted jewellery, leather bags, natural soaps and oils producer, hand made wool clothes etc. As well as many famous restaurants like Arnolfo with its 3 Micheline stars and Pasticeria Mario Barone, which makes the best cakes in the world, according to some of our guests!
Colle Val d'Elsa is a great place to stay as it's authentic, not too busy with tourists and close to many points of interest, in all seasons. It has natural free thermal baths 40 min away, the SentierElsa, a beautiful river walk with waterfalls and turquoise water, where you can swimming. Great sports facilities, like the olimpic size swimming pool with trampolines, tenning courts, football pitches for hire etc. Wine producers, where you can do wine tastings near by, endless possibilities for all.
