  • Located on the Point, and right where you want to be. Take a seat on the porch rockers and enjoy your beach views. It's a 1 block walk to the beach, and 3 blocks to restaurants, brew pubs, shops, marinas, and even a tiki-bar. Time to start enjoying.

    House is originally from 1910 but was renovated in 2019, and finished up in 2024. We are ready to welcome you to our our golf cart community with both historic charm and modern amenities. A lovely cottage to relax and unwind, an excellent choice for your getaway.

    2 ground floor bedrooms, 2 bedrooms upstairs. Both bathrooms are on the ground floor. Large kitchen, with a table for 6. Double oven and plenty of kitchen tools if you like to cook.

Kathy & Bob are wonderful hosts. Their Red Roof Cottage is full of character and brings so much happiness to our Family. We love relaxing on the front porch. It is so close to everything that we enjoy. It has a beautiful view of the water. We always feel welcome as guests. It is our favorite place to stay.

I was blown away by the hospitality and thought that the owners went into making sure you had everything you needed. Everything was clean and well thought out! Easy instructions for everything and just an overall BLAST. I will 100% be back here with my family next year. The home itself was very well equipped, the hosts suggestions for restaurants and activities were exceptional. 10/10

This was by far one of the best vrbo places we have stayed in. The hostess Kathy was amazing and so helpful and responsive ! The cottage had everything we needed . The beds were all very comfy . The air conditioner worked great , the yard was perfect for our small dog. The porch with the fans and the little birds nest was the best part. Seating-in and out was perfect for our visiting guest and we enjoyed the big kitchen . We will definitely be staying here again .

Quick getaway

House was clean, and as described in the listing. Very welcoming and stocked with all the necessities and more.Ownwer was amazing and made the entire process simple and enjoyable. We liked it so much we made reservation to go back before we even left.

Excellent Home

The perfect home close to everything! The house is spacious, comfortable, and clean. It had a little of everything and with the little fenced yard was perfect for having our dog. The location is great with only a short walk to the beach (under 5minutes with kids) and the town is just a few blocks to many restaurants and shops. Definitely will be returning.

The worst part was having to leave. Home is beautiful, clean, and more than enough space. Kathy was a fabulous host and made sure we had everything we needed. That front porch…….. was great for morning coffee and mimosas and evening cocktails. Convenient location and walking distance to many shops and restaurants! Thanks so much…we had a great stay!

This is a beautiful home. This is Our second stay this year in this wonderful cottage. We love the water view from the comfortable chairs on the beautiful front porch. Our Host was amazing. She left awesome treats for us and had a basket of toys out for our four year old niece. This home is so clean and is so close to things to do. We love it and we look forward to staying at this cottage again.

Home away from home

The host is amazing and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is gorgeous and very comfortable. All the comforts of home and spacious. The property is well maintained and has a private backyard. And they are dog friendly. I travel with my dog all the time and I really needed a spot to stay on short notice that allowed dogs. 10 stars from me.

Wonderful Weekend

We loved this beautiful cottage. It was so nice and clean and offered many extras we did not expect. The front porch was made for relaxing. We enjoyed the view and the comfortable rockers. Kathy was so pleasant and so easy to work with. She surprised me with gluten free cookies and a wonderful bottle of wine. Our grand dog Winnie was welcome to be there and that meant a lot to us. We plan to visit this beautiful cottage again.

Wonderful cottage with an amazing host!

We had a family gathering in CB for the 4th of July and our son’s birthday. Kathy, the host was so friendly, accommodating, and responsive. The house was super clean, has lots of charm, was nice and cool, and the location was perfect. We loved sitting on the front porch and gazing at the water. The house is located super close to the beach, town, and the bay. We were so happy to be able have our dog join us in the house as well! This is a gem in sweet little Colonial Beach!

WOW,WOW,WOW! What a lovely home. Kathy was a super hostess. The house has everything you need and more to have a wonderful stay. The yard is fenced in and kept our small puppers safe and sound. You are in walking distance to the beach/river. Also, there are many eating places of all kinds, brewery/coffee shops, and yes, even ice cream. We will be back!!!

Fantastic week-long stay with my spouse and two dogs in October. Very clean house, large updated kitchen, nice updated bathrooms, front porch for sitting and enjoying river views, and the neighbors waive when they drive by! Friendly community who is welcoming to short-term renters—had so many conversations with locals. Enjoyed the easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and pier. Rented a golf cart to get around which was so much fun! Really quiet area which was exactly what we wanted.Host is very nice, easy comms, and good restaurant recommendations. No issues bringing our two medium-size dogs who enjoyed daily walks and smells on the beach area.
