“The location was perfect. My grandkids loved the pool. The breakfast was not very good. The choices were minimal and you had to wait in line for 5 minutes to use the toaster which never toasted anyway. My biggest problem, however, has been trying to resolve the bill. They gave me a written copy of the invoice and have charged a totally different amount. I tried to resolve it to no avail.”

“Fife and Drum is a wonderful place to stay in Williamsburg. The location is amazing because you can walk to the museums and restaurants. Check in and parking are very easy. The place itself is charming and they always have drinks and snacks available in their quaint dining area, as well as delicious breakfast options. “5 star for cleanliness. 0 star for totally thin walls that you can hear the baby crying next door at 2:00 am. You can walk down the hall and clearly hear peoples conversations as you walk past their room. 2 star free breakfast. Never going back, no hotel should be built with that type of insulation.”

“We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn.”

“I rarely would give a five star review, this property was so beautiful, beautiful welcoming, and extremely clean. My husband and I enjoyed breakfast every day with a beautiful view of the water & the staff were so friendly and accommodating for all of our needs. A+ for the luxurious towels and amenities. “The AC in our King bed with pull out sofa bed room was terrible. Temperature could not be controlled. Wall thermostat was almost unusable. Expedia stated a $100 pet fee when I booked, but I was charged $150. In addition, there was no mention of a daily parking fee of $5.30 when I booked or at check-in. We left a day early and I understand we would not be refunded that last night even though we did not stay there, but we were also charged that parking fee for a parking space we did not use.
