Koch Ranch - Hester House

Vieni a soggiornare nella nostra fattoria di famiglia recentemente ristrutturata, costruita nel 1880. È una vacanza rilassante in un vero ranch di bestiame del Texas che è gestito dalla nostra famiglia da oltre 100 anni.

Abbiamo un'altra casa in affitto elencata come "Koch Ranch - Cabin" che si trova accanto. Molti ospiti affittano entrambe le case. Sono abbastanza distanti da dove ogni casa ha privacy l'una dall'altra, ma i gruppi sono abbastanza vicini da godersi il loro stare insieme.

Great spot

Great spot, lots of ways to kick back and relax. Outside the city but close enough to Columbus for anything you might need. Lots of history. Definitely recommend!

Family Xmas

What a wonderful and peaceful venue. We had our Family Xmas here and just enjoyed the peace and quiet and nostalgic setting. David was super responsive and easy to work with. Directions were clear and everything was exactly as described. We are making plans to return.

Peaceful historic home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There is so much history in the home. The front porch was amazing with the rocking chairs. The beds were so comfortable. The living space is large and we had plenty of room to spread out. One of our favorite spots was the fire pit. We saw deer and the longhorns were gorgeous. We also had a great time in Columbus and can highly recommend the food and shopping there. Great vacation retreat. Host was exceptional also

Excellent location and a great historical Home

Booked this house for a weekend of waterfowl hunting with my parents and friends. We could have got a motel/hotel in Columbus but I am so glad we didn’t! The home has an amazing history and the story of the home and family is told throughout the home. Communication with the owner was very easy and they responded quickly. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back next year to do it all again.

Our family enjoyed our stay here. The front porch, fire pit and bbq area were a great place to gather. The kids loved the tree house and swings. We rented both houses at the location and it was very convenient.

Enyeart Texas Trip

Really enjoyed the porch and the rocking chairs. We had an awesome trip. We left a blue and red reflector there but they should be put closer to the road. We got there after dark and spent some time finding the gate. Thank you so much.

Lovely!!

Owner was quick with responses and helped us make the right choice. House was absolutely adorable. Grandbabies were awed by the procession of cows Sunday morning!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!! The story of the family home was sweet and the family knickknacks are a treasure. Old wood floors made lots of noise for the kiddos to run on! They loved it! Although we only stayed for two nights for a quick trip to the local Waterpark - would love to bbq on the grill and really enjoy the sounds and clear skies at night. Maybe next time. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Awesome get away place to stay!

The place was fantastic and fully equipped for the weekend we were there. The front porch is outstanding to sit and enjoy the country and good friends. We will definitely try to stay at the Koch Ranch next time we're heading to that part of Texas.

Columbus Beauty

We stayed at the beautiful Farmhouse. There was so much history in each room. The family has preserved and kept true to the origin of the homestead as much as possible where possible. David Koch was a wonderful host and available for our needs when called upon. We enjoyed our quick trip and would recommend this rental to anyone who loves a bit of history and appreciates the beauty of the surrounding ranch land.
