Great Location!
The house was very cute, plenty of space for our family of four. We were in Columbus for a baseball tournament, and it was nice to have room to relax after a day at the ball field. The location was perfect for dining, shopping the outlets, and we had an easy commute to Ceraland Sports Park.

Cute house in awesome location
Walking distance to downtown. 2nd floor of cute historic home with a lot of character. Wood floors are beautiful but very creaky. Steps to 2nd floor could be considered steep to older generations. Quite neighborhood with parking right out front. Beds were comfortable. It was everything we needed.

Pleasant Surprise
It was a great place. Plenty of room and in a great location just to walk around the town for breakfast, etc. They also had a separate thermostat for upstairs, so we were not at the mercy of someone else's comfort level. That's a luxury in these situations. We were there for a concert at Brown County Music Center and that was an easy 14 mile drive. Thanks Bill

Great Weekend Getaway
The home was cute, cozy, clean, and perfect for a short girls weekend. It was easy to walk to tons of shops and restaurants and our hosts were so kind and helpful. We had a great weekend at the Mayor's Suite and would definitely stay there again in the future!

Wonderful weekend

Exactly what we needed
This was three adult family/friends who met for a few days w/o kids. Columbus and Nashville were great. The stay was great, small trundle bed was squeaky but we expected that. Shower was hot, living room was comfy for visiting. A great experience!

Excellent Staycation!
The owner Bill was very friendly and even greeted us after our 1st night. He was informative about the local community and just a nice guy. The property was immaculate and cozy, filled with necessities, would have liked a tv or two in the bedrooms but the family room tv was ok for my son and I I would stay here again and will recommend to any friends planning to stay in Columbus

Historic Trip
This spot in Columbus, IN was wonderful--a little bit of history, well maintained, beautifully decorated and a perfect location. We were able to walk to the downtown area and it was an easy location to access.

Adorable Historic Home
My friend and I had a girls weekend and decided to stay at the Mayors Suite in downtown Columbus. If you like old/historic homes, then I recommend! The staircase leading up to the suite is absolutely beautiful and the textured walls in the main family room are really unique! The owners were great with communication, very helpful, and attentive. A big plus is being within walking distance of the main downtown area of Columbus for stores and restaurants. Enjoyed!

Lovely but …..
I prefer to have a tv on the room this property doesn’t have one also doesn’t have dishwasher and the sink faucet water pressure is low making hard to wash dishes

Thank you for the feedback, Olga. While we consciously decided not to provide a TV in the master bedroom, we instead chose to have the large TV in the great room subscribed to many streaming channels for our guests that want to relax and have an evening catching up on favorite shows/movies: Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Paramount+, HBO, Disney, Peacock, Discovery+, and access to all standard cable broadcast channels. In addition, multiple music sources. Our WiFi speed is >200Mb/sec, which accommodates customers who want to bring their gaming systems. New kitchen sink has been installed and we have reworked the bath to ensure there is good pressure for our guests. Best regards, Bill & Janet

Nice Holiday Stay in the Old Part of Town During Winter
A holiday stay with adult kids as in older part of downtown Columbus as an unexpected winter storm set. The host was genial, accessible, accommodative, and unobtrusive. No issues with check in, check out or questions about building. The location was in walking distance to places of interest in downtown Columbus. Furniture was comfortable. Kitchen was available and usable. Guests stayed in the second floor of an older house. It was clean. It was a somewhat draughty at night as the winter storm hit, but managable. I would recommend it.

Columbus getaway
The Mayor's Suite was a wonderful location for our Columbus visit. We left the car at the house and were able to walk around and see all the wonderful Columbus architecture and public art with ease. Our rental had everything we needed for our stay as well as being comfortable, attractive and convenient for our family. Highly recommend it and would love to stay there again for a future visit!

The Hosts are very responsive and so nice. The house was amazing. So beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable. It's close to many restaurants or to Nashville Ind if that's what your wanting to do.

Cozy, well furnished, lovely, and peaceful.
This was a working weekend for us however, we absolutely loved our stay! We will definitely like to stay again when we can relax and enjoy ourselves a little more. The bed was super comfortable, everything is lovely and well furnished. I truly appreciated the waters in the fridge, and the well placed blankets. We look forward to staying again.

Wonderful historic upper “flat.” Walking distance to the Visitor’s Center (where the architectural tours begin), as well as to dining and shopping. Great neighborhood and the owners live on site!

Beautiful Historic Home in an Ideal Location
We loved the experience of staying in such a historic home - the original groaning floors proved its authenticity :). The location in downtown Columbus was unbeatable. The Hosts were very friendly and quickly responded to questions. The home was clean and the kitchen and bathroom were updated. A Kuerig machine and coffee was a nice extra. The master bedroom bed was comfortable. All in all, a very pleasant stay in a beautiful small town so rich in architecture.

This property is absolutely beautiful and was clean, with plenty of supplies in a full kitchen! Within many restaurants and had parking directly in front of the home. Loved the easy check in and out process and the owner is on the property and in contact with us if we needed anything! We will definitely be staying again!

Perfect for us!
We had 6 adults coming last minute and were grateful to fond this home. It is completely upstairs so not handicap accessible. The front and middle bedrooms were perfect for couples and the back trundle bed is perfect for 2 younger. The house was very clean. Lots of towels available for showers. We appreciated the complimentary water and Keuirg pods. Thank you for a very nice stay!

Adorable!
The home is very clean and welcoming. The beds are extremely comfortable and the sofas in the living room are also comfy and great for watching TV. The kitchen has everything you need including coffee. When you stay, pay attention to the plaster work on the living room walls. The design in the plaster is art and just beautiful. You are within walking distance of wonderful restaurants. Bill gave us some great suggestions and was very accommodating. I loved it!!!!

Indiana University Visit
I came to Bloomington to visit my son who is a student at IU. My husband, teenage daughter and I came for a weekend visit and an Indiana football game. The property was very clean, spacious and the beds were verycomfortable. My son ended up spending one night with us as well and there was plenty of room. It was a perfect weekend and a great home to stay at. Thank you to Bill and Jan for a wonderful stay!

Historic home
We stayed here while in the area for Indiana University Homecoming. Columbus is about an hour east of Bloomington and it’s a lovely drive through Brown County/Nashville. .The apartment is the upstairs of a two family home. It was very spacious - especially for two people. Lovely furnishings and bedding. The owner is very helpful with suggestions of places to shop and eat. We were very comfortable here. I even got to enjoy the balcony over a quiet street one morning. The stairway to the apartment is rather steep. Something to keep in mind if you have any physical limitations.

Gathering of friends
A group of former co-workers enjoys getting together about every year. Due to Covid, it had been almost two years. We enjoyed the location close to downtown. Walked there & enjoyed Farmer’s Market & venues downtown. The area was quiet. The owner shared fresh tomatoes. We had everything we needed.

Wedding Weekend Stay
This was a good option for me and the location I needed to attend a wedding at Irwin Gardens and reception at the Commons. However the "third" bedroom had not light (a battery operated Coleman lantern) and no outlets. The water temperature was fine for showering but the water pressure was ridiculously low. It took quite a while to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. The house in general had very few outlets for devices (one floor lamp in the corner of the living room had no place to be plugged in. The exterior front porch was quite cobwebby and dirty and the front porch was very poorly lit and house numbers were not visible from the street making it difficult to determine if we were in the correct location at arrival at 3:00 am.

Awesome stay in architectural center
The house is great, the host is great, but the real winner to this place is that it is downtown in the center of all the architectural wonders of Columbus Indiana. We checked in, and then decided to walk around before dinner and saw everything and more within a few blocks. Can’t recommend it enough. And absolutely recommend this location.
