Our family stayed here for a weekend ski trip and it was a great location. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, including extra blankets, towels and all the kitchen supplies. The house is cozy and peaceful! We hope to be back again soon!

Staying at this farmhouse for a long weekend was one of my favorite holidays. The property is beautiful and peacefull. Large portions of the land have been cleared and we loved walking across the grass. The front porches are furnished with comfortable furniture that is solid enough to handle a full grown man's weight. The inside furnishings are similarly comfortable and well chosen. The living room has a beautiful gas fireplace that adds a nice bit of warmth. The kitchen is extremely well equipped for cooking and we opted to make almost all of our meals at the farm using the kitchen and grill. The bedrooms were nicely appointed with soft linens. The washing machine and dryer are large, suitable for a family. The firepit outside is clean and easy to access. Beckley, the nearby town, has everything we could have possibly needed and a few great places to eat. The neighbors are lovely and helpful should we have wanted for anything. Even though we have returned home, back to the city, we continue to fantasize about buying our own little slice of property down in Southern WV. Until then, we will continue to book weekends away and likely return to the Green Heaven Farm.

Only 10 minutes off the main road but feels like a 100 years ago when we settled in. In other words feels very remote but is not. The property manager lives just across the road and was very gracious. Brought us extra wood for a fire and some canned goodies. You want to see deer-this is the place. Morning, noon and dusk. They are all over the back and front field. The house is older with some country charm. It was well stocked w food and other stuffs before we arrived and we left other essentials behind since we were flying home. Really enjoyed our stay. Already planning a stay for next summer.

A Great Escape

What a great getaway. We stayed here for a long weekend just friends and Family enjoying the wilderness and the farm life from the lovely front porch having breakfast out there daily was a highlight of our trip. The home perfect for us clean and well appointed and a great home base not too far from the wild and wonderful .

Wonderful farmhouse and property

We enjoyed the farmhouse so much! Lots of room for our family. The property is beautiful and the porches just call your name. Thanks for including a little bit of history. We saw wild turkeys and lots of songbirds.

I would have given this stay 5 stars, but there was zero communication with the owner. I sent her 2 messages, called her twice, and left a voicemail with no response. Thankfully we had no issues, but if we did I do not know what we would have done. The house itself was great and had everything we needed. Location to ski resort was perfect.

Beautiful property close to Winterplace ski resort

Property was beautiful! My family had the best time sledding on the hills and enjoyed warming up next to the fireplace afterwards. I would have given a 5 out of 5 rating except we had a lot trouble with the driveway without AWD/4 wheel. The caretakers went above and beyond

Ski retreat

We chose this property because it met the needs of our family while we came to ski at Winter Place Ski Resort. The property was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We felt Welcome and at home. We had no problems! We would choose this house again!
