The coffee was tasteless and needs to be properly percolated with a better quality of ground coffee beans. Table service for coffee would be much better.”

A very relaxing place to spend a couple of nights. With lovely grounds and a good variety of birdlife. (Plus the resident Peacocks!)”

Breakfast room opened at 8:30 and consisted of help yourself Coco pops, croissants or toast, if you had an early start, nothing. Overall a very poor experience.”

“Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. ”
