Great little get away
This place was a great little get away, don’t let the outside photos deter you from booking the place, the cottage is very spacious and the kitchen has everything you need to cook for your family, it’s in a quiet neighborhood and close to the beach and shops, Chris was also very helpful, we really enjoyed our stay and we’re looking forward to going back

Inadaquate place
The place was in need a serious repair. Only Windows units to cool house down, which it never did. I had to go buy fans to no be absoloutly miserable. No handrails on porch, serious trip hazzards everywhere. And an extra charge to sleep 7 People when the ad clearly says sleeps 7.... it come out to be over 200 pero night. For a place of that quality was way overpriced and i am embarassed to say i stayed there. Will never return to this location.

Perfect for our family
Great cabin! We loved the quirky place. My daughter had a great time sleeping on the sun porch and the rest of us slept in the main room. Easy walk to restaurants and the Main Street. We walked to the beach and the craft market. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely Cabin
We came to Rockport to escape the heat of San Antonio and try our luck at fishing. Found this great little spot and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, and within walking distance to the fishing pier and downtown shops. We would definitely come back!

Little Blue Cottage
The cottage was spacious and comfortable and just as described. The host provided many amenities such as Keurig coffee maker, creamer, soaps and shampoos. Would definitely return.

Affordable and family-friendly vacation rental
This property was perfect for our needs, overall. It was clean and comfortable, and it was nice that we could have our dogs with us. I wasn't able to let my dogs in the backyard due to it not being fully enclosed, and the fact that it had rained and the yard was swampy, but that wasn't a major setback. There was also a problem with the internet connecting on our second day, but that wasn't a big deal, either. It was a nice stay, and I would recommend to others. Thanks!

The place was good for what we used it for, but could use improvements.
This place advertised a fenced yard for a pet, and I contemplated bringing my dog, glad I didn’t. The fence was not 100% in tact, and wouldn’t have been helpful or secure. Also, the mosquitoes were really bad, which I expect on the coast, but I feel like if the grass had been better maintained, (it was really tall in many areas) and there wasn’t standing water in some sort of bird bath in the front yard, the mosquitoes would have been less of a problem. Also, something should be done about the shower head configuration, there’s not a good way to start the shower without getting sprayed, as well as spraying the floor outside the shower. The place was clean and tidy on the inside, and air conditioning cooled it down well. Since I was only down there to fish, and only needed AC, Hot shower, and a couple beds, it worked out. For pets it would need some fence work, and it’s not a place I’d take my wife and children. Good central location for fuel stations, restaurants, boat ramp and bait stands.

Very good guests. No issues reported by guests during stay. We are presently leveling side and back yards and large piles of sand soil are on each side of the house, and scraping front paint. And fence is down on right side which is being rebuilt. Will amend website until completed. We did overlook letting Chase know about this pending work. But new driveway entrance and sidewalks are now complete. Thanks.

Key wasn’t there ,TV didn’t work, yard was terrible, back porch had an old bath tube for a supposed jacuzzi that wasn’t hooked up, no washer and dryer, rentals shouldn’t be available if everything is not good , we didn’t have enough time to get another place , before our grandchildren had to go back to Colorado

We felt so bad about the washer and dryer breaking down just before your trip which is why we gave you the option to cancel. Following July 4th it was impossible to get the replacement delivered on time. Then the Rockport WiFi service failure on top of that was certainly a last straw. As soon as we found out a sercice tech came out the same day to reset the system. We are planning to plumb the outside bath soon. So sorry your experience was not up to par.

Pirates cove
This was our second stay. Rockport got 18 inches of rain. We were high and dry inside. You have everything you need in this little cabin.

Thanks for you postive review after having a rainy visit to the Gulf Coast. Much aporeciated. Since your visit we now have a cenented driveway entrance and sidewaljs on our side of the street. Plus our washer/dryer broke down and have replaced wirh a stackable LG washer and dryer, and the side fence is finished. Thanks again.

Great Location but not enough A/C for summer time
window A/C units had a difficult time keeping the middle most largest part cool (where the biggest bed is). Units were in the smaller areas. Owner would do well to add one more a/c unit in the larger middle area. Kitchen was sparsely furnished. ( there were no tall drink cups - only coffee cups and 1 small juice glass), no mixing bowls for making dinners, no cutting board, poor cutting knives, large pot for frying had no handle and no pot holders to get it off the burner). No wash cloths provided; mirror in bathroom was on the floor so had to squat to use. 2 window glasses were broken in living area. Owner covered and tacked with plastic, however we had to spray a yellow jacket nest just on the other side. They were traveling inside the house. Shower spray nozzle sprays outside the door and takes a long time to get warm water. Shower door was wampy and not connected to the bottom. Hot tub has been out of service since the last time we rented several years ago. Owner seems to do the least minimal amount of work to keep the place rented. Externally, the property is in poor condition. The only reason we came back was because of the location to town. If you bring enough kitchen supplies and can overlook the rest of the condition of the house, it's a great place to stay though and economical. But you get what you pay for.

Overall good experience
Check in was easy, place was clean, beds were comfy and the a/c units kept us cool. Due to all the rain the Mosquitoes were terrible if you went outside even with repellent, just how it is sometimes. Shower leaks onto the floor and pools up under the wall on the left side under the towel rack.

Quaint, good location!
The house was charming and cute - there are ongoing renovations, but that didn’t bug us! The back yard was great for the kiddos and doggy! Nice, open floor plan and light house. The ONLY complaint I have was the mosquitoes 😂😂😂 definitely not anyone can do about that. After all the rain I swear they NESTED in the driveway and it was a gun show anytime we loaded in the car!

A walkers dream location
The house was in a perfect location for us as we walk a lot. We were within walking distance of shops, museums, beach, etc. The house was clean and comfortable but the back yard could have been cleaned up a bit as we had our dog along but we managed o.k. The picture of the front of the house needs to be updated as it was not as pristine.as.it appeared. We did experience trouble using the TV/Blue Ray. Written instructions would have been nice, We did enjoy our time at the house.

A good getaway option for family and doing remote work
Property is equipped with everything you need to get away with family during Covid--if you need to work remotely while family plays at the beach, and you want to bring your dog, it's perfect. Nearby within walking distance is Rockport shopping, beach and piers.

Great Location
Great location. Outside needs work. Porch is in horrible condition and back yard has trash and debris. The inside was clean just needs love. It worked very well for our stay because it was close to the venue we needed to be at.

In need of repair
One of the reasons we chose this location is the fenced back yard, the fence is falling down and unkept. The home is in need of repairs inside and out. We made the best out of the situation we found ourselves in . But feel the monies paid wasn’t worth the accommodations provided. The little house has potential but needs investment to make a nice Vacation rental.

My neighbor passed away and his trees were over grown but finally a couple has bought the cabin next door and recently cut down the ovrrgrown trees. The lumber beside the fence is to rebuild the fence which we plan to do during the summer. We have a clean and presentable interior and just replaced the AC and half the plumbing due to t freeze

Good location
The cottage was quaint. Was clean & roomy. Curb appeal not the greatest and inside can use some touch ups. But it is in a good location, near a lot of places. Was a good find for the price. If you're not looking for fancy - this is your place. It met my needs with the grandkids. Didnt stay they much - was out and about with them.

My husband and I were very disappointed. The online pictures of the property are very deceptive. We drove by the house several times before we realized that this was actually the address of the property we rented. My husband wanted to leave immediately but due to the "no refund" policy, we entered the house to see what the interior was clean. The surface was clean. The exterior: entrance - railing was loose; porch had boards nailed down over apparent holes; the cement walkway was not there; paint was peeling off the house; the back yard was grown up with it being mowed in order to get to the back door; one window was completely missing with plastic over the window and a pull blind on the outside of the house; the back deck in the pictures shows a nice deck with what appears to be a jacuzzi which is reality a bathtub with jets - it was not in working order; there were holes in the boards by the back door entrance; new windows were inside the house to be installed. I understand that Harvey caused major damage. I also understand that the property has been rented mutliple times since then.. The "post Harvey" pictures needs to be listed on the site so people will know what they are renting - not what the property was prior to ...

Sorry you were so disappointed. The cottage is a cabin and not a condo. It is clean and comfortable. Retitled the one picture pre Hurricane Harvey. The pictutes are accurate in the whole and show updated post Harvey photos. The window was on back order due to Covid-19 and has now been delivered and will be installed as soon as possible.

I was very disappointed the house did not look anything like the pictures online it was hot one fan is all that worked grass not mowed boards on the porch not nailed down to cover holes Boards in the yard I smelled really bad like mildew I just money because I could not stay there I tried to email the owner to see if he had another property for me to stay at he still has not got back with me

Sorry your visit was disappointing. PLEASE call us by phone if the AC is not working which should be considered an EMERGENCY. The reviews say the AC blows cold which is the clue that something was wrong. Emails tend to be missed or are vague and non-specific. A conversation is much better. It also ensures a repair for the next person as well. House Keeping usually catches these problems but not in every case.

We love this little house!
We stayed for four days. This place met all our needs. We cooked and filled the big fridge up. All slept comfortably. He is still working on the house but each improvement makes it better. The owner is very nice and easy to contact. We will be back. We enjoy Rockport so much.

Luckily we brought extra towels, there were only 2. The gas grill was missing a deflector and non functioning. We bought a charcoal grill and left it for the next people to use. Also bought a trashcan for the bathroom. The yard was mowed but not edged. It was conveniently located. Kind of reminded me of a clubhouse you would have as a child. Needs paint and minor maintenance.

Quality vs Cost
Pre Hurricane Harvey, we stayed at this property. It was quaint & cute and a great value. The owner worked on the property himself post hurricane. However, he should have had a professional. The property looks run down and it smells very moldy and mildewing. It was a good price for the size and still worked well with pets. Didn’t have enough cleans towels (2 clean & 1 dirty). No hand or kitchen towels or paper towels. Key wasn’t where it was supposed to be.

Nice little place
Needed a place that was close to the water and one that would take small dogs. This place has a small fenced yard and was great for what we needed. It is in walking distance to the downtown small shops. And was perfect for us. We would stay here again

Vacation Get away
This home was perfect. I will stay here again. The owners were super sweet and always very quick to reply to any questions that I had. The home was very comfortable and had everything you needed, just like a home. It is located so close to the beach to downtown shopping. Everything was included even a washer and dryer. The beds were very comfortable, and it had extra cots. We loved it! We will be back!

Nice for short stay. Need blinds on front windows and bathroom window. The place needs trim and fixing up. Bathroom needs a fan and shelves to set things on. Car port has no roof.

The location is great! The property owner forgot to contact us about how to check in-we had to contact him for the info. Also, checkin time as stated on orbitz is different-orbitz states 3pm, the owner states 4pm. This property is great for a guys get away, not really suited for families of very young children-exposed unfinished portions of the wood floors (possible splinters in little feet), exposed nail heads, rusted over cracks and resulting leaks between shower and wall, uneven floors between sections of the cabin, etc.

Great little catch and relax spot!
Great little weekender away spot. Not exactly small kid friendly, lots of uneven spots for little feet to trip, but well kept, clean and comfortable! Could do with a few updates, but perfect for a group guy getaway to go fishing. super close to downtown and the beach. Loved it!

Cabin in Rockport
Cabin has all the amenities you could need. Great location, walking distance from food, stores, very close to beach. We did have some issues with bugs and cabin does need some work, but overall good for a beach trip.
