“The hotel had a bit of character and was well located for access to the coast and nearby sights. Our room was large and comfortable with a table and chairs, plenty of storage space. The grounds were a good size, well maintained and great for sitting outside. Dinner was very good in a conservatory dining room. Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful, happy to chat and offer advice on places to visit and things to do. A very enjoyable short stay ”

“I can't beleive this place wasn't busier! Excellent service from a young and enthusiastic staff. Large well stocked bar inside and a lovely big outside seating area with screens, with a view of the sea. Dinner was excellent, we can recommend the paella. Someone has had the brilliant idea of a breakfast hamper in the room. And you'll find this hard to believe but you actually get a pint of milk in the fridge, not those horrible sachets! Aylsham is a gorgeous place to visit and the unique ships, range of restaurants and warm welcome from the people who live and work there have left a really positive and heart warming impression on me. “Enjoyed our stay. Would be nice to park near to the pub, car park is in another field which is a short walk away it seemed safe enough though. Evening meal and breakfast both excellent, staff were very friendly and room was clean. Garden room has a bath only and as it’s in the eves, you can only crouch to have a shower, don’t stand up quick and hit your head like I did!
