Cotton Bayou Public Beach Access: Tour e Visite Guidate

Overall the resort was beautiful. The restaurant, staff, and the beaitiful court yard was top notch. Where it failed was the sub-par cleaning of the room, the air conditioning, and no place to place our suitcase other than the floor. We stayed in room 1172 starting October 1st until we evacuated October 9th 2026 due to Hurricane Isaias. We were stuck due to paying for our stay at the Island Resot months in advance. I purchased cleaning materials to sanitize and clean the shower floor and swifter dusted and washed the floor picking up sand, hair, and other debris. My husband did report the lack of cleaning at the front desk on our 1st night but nothing happened. Thus I took matters in my own hands to clean to provide better sanitation. The floor of the shower was black due to dirt built up over time. I managed to get half of the dirt cleaned off before I would step in it. People pee in showers, have sex in it, sand, etc. There is no excuse not to properly clean it. A guest pays good money for a clean room and it better be clean, sanitize My husband and I experienced coughing and and breathing problems the 3rd day in our room suspecting it was the air conditioner. Upon our own inspection, we noticed an oder coming from the air conditioner, and when pulling back the curtains, the curtains were filthy with stains on them and very dusty, we had old and worn out pillows that needed to be replaced and should have had pillow protectors on the pillows to protect guests.
