“We had originally booked the studio apt for Jan 9 to visit an elderly parent - a family emergency came up and we had to move our visit to as soon as possible - the owner kindly allowed us to transfer the booking to an earlier date, the 5th (the day after my distressed call) at the cottage instead so other family members could stay as well. Owner is not local, so apparently did not know that the cottage was not quite prepared for guests- it was clean, but not stocked and had some repairs going...

“I would've given the property a higher rating, but the outside property is not what you're going to see that's listed in the photo.. the river is beautiful but...I sent the property manager many pictures of issues beginning with the lack of deep cleaning, especially for the kitchen ovens .. the one in the main house looked like it not been cleaned for a very long time..Our nanny found a sock with a substance in one of the drawers in the basement, and my daughter found dirty towels, and socks in...
