The main reason we picked this unit was the easy ski-in/ski-out. Just walk with your skis about 20 feet to the snow and ski to the west wall lift, where you can then ski down to the base and the Silver Queen or Red Lady lifts. Skiing back could be done on the green Aspen Road trail. Because of a rope going up the West Wall lift, you couldn't ski back across the base area to the condo. You had to take the west wall lift back up.You will have to carry all your stuff up outside stairs to the sidewalk/back porch approach to the unit. All units in Jokerville will require that, with 2nd and 3rd floor units requiring more. The downside to being on the 1st floor is the noise from above. The condo itself is nice, but a bit dated. The TVs were not smart TVs and the one in the main room has a black line going through it. For $300 at the most, an upgrade to a smart TV should be done. Even though the furniture looks dated, the seating was very comfortable. Locking and unlocking the door from the balcony was a challenge, It requires lifting the handle really hard to turn the key to lock/unlock. We were told it was just a poor design. The kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub was in a small common-area room accessed from the unit's door to the common-area hallway. It was dark and gloomy looking. We passed. The bottom line for us is we would recommend this place for the ski-in/ski-out ability. In the summer, I would probably go higher up to reduce the noise.
