“The property did not match my expectations based on the listing photos. Upon arrival, there was a strong stale and musty odor throughout the home that I found difficult to tolerate.I also observed several maintenance and cleanliness concerns, including a missing outlet cover with exposed wiring, multiple exterior-access doors that were unlocked, paint spatter in various areas, visible dust buildup, dirty dishes left in the dishwasher, and an overgrown yard with trash present.I understand that...

“The house was good, the AC was great, walking the dog in the neighborhood was great. Awesome host with clear communication. Thanks, Matt!”

“Stayed here with family and a dog. We had a few small issues, but the owner was responsive and easy to work with. ”

“We really enjoyed this property for a family reunion retreat. It was also conveniently located to get to most areas in Des Moines quickly. Super clean. The basement game room was a big hit for kids. The basement stays cold.”

“Would have been nice to know there wasn’t any wash cloths, hand towels and towels. If they were available where are they located? Otherwise the stay was great. Comfy pillows!!”

“Location was the best feature (walking distance to Drake University and very near the freeway access). The biggest negative was only one bathroom.Cleanliness was just OK.”

“The property had everything we needed for a great stay! Our groomsmen stayed here, and the arcade was a huge hit—especially Golden Tee. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the house was very clean. We also appreciated all the extra toiletries and thoughtful touches in each bathroom. The location was perfect, with easy access to our wedding venue and downtown. The host was quick to answer any questions and was wonderful to work with throughout the stay.We highly recommend and would...

“Very clean, great location, and it had everything we needed. We would stay here again.”

“House was a lot of fun for kids. The basement is a kids dream. The rest of the house suited our needs but is in no way luxurious. It was a good stay.”
