The Clearing - Quiet - Close To Nature

Questo cottage recentemente rinnovato si trova in cima a una collina che domina il selvaggio e scenico Westfield River circondato da foreste statali e terreni protetti. La fauna selvatica abbonda e noi siamo il paradiso dei birder. Molte mattine puoi vedere la nebbia che sorge dal fiume. Esci dalla porta per fare escursioni, mountain bike, racchette da neve o sciare nei boschi. Piste da sci di fondo preparate nelle vicinanze. Notchview Reservation, a 20 minuti di distanza, secondo me ha il miglior sci XC nel Massachusetts occidentale. Siamo situati a metà strada tra i Berkshires con le sue numerose attività culturali e la Pioneer Valley, sede dei cinque college: U Mass, e Smith, Amherst, Mt Holyoke e Hampshire College. Il cottage può ospitare quattro (1 BR per 2, 2 gemelli integrati dalla stufa a legna). La cucina è completamente equipaggiata. Il proprietario abita nella proprietà nella casa principale vicino al cottage.

Hosts were kind, helpful, and communicative. The pictures do not do this property justice - We were out there with the birds, the snow, and the wind. It was a rejuvenating and beautiful stay, can't wait to come back.

A wonderful grandma's cottage type of feel. Very charming, quiet and beautiful place to stay. I could picture living in a place like this, it had a feeling of home, and the views are amazing. I can not stress enough how wonderfully quiet and peaceful it was.I wish I could have stayed longer to really soak it all in and explore the beautiful grounds more. There are games and puzzles you can do which we found fun in the evenings and the wifi worked great. Would love to stay here again.

We had an incredible time. The location was amazing, quiet, and peaceful. We nixed all plans of exploration and restaurants and just stayed and relaxed for days. We couldn’t have asked for more. What a gem. We will absolutely be back!

This cottage is well laid out. It’s very comfortable, with beautiful scenery. We loved the porch and used it even on a rainy day. It has everything needed in the kitchen for longer stays too. We would highly recommend.

This is a charming and well-appointed cottage in a beautiful setting. It felt open and very spacious for the two of us (& it could easily host 2 more people). The kitchen was well-equipped, and the rest of the place was thoughtfully planned out. We especially loved the screened-in porch, from which you could observe the natural beauty surrounding us, including the rolling hills beyond. There’s a wood stove and a large in-ground swimming pool & picnic table, which we did not use, but we can see the added benefit of these in other seasons. The hosts, who live next door, were very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this property! We hope to return.

I loved my stay at "The Clearing." The cottage is beautifully renovated, with all the amenities. The pool was warm and inviting. The grounds, including flower beds, are spacious. The hosts are available and helpful.

This was the fifth time my husband and I have stayed here for a retreat type vacation. Very calm and quiet, yet close to anything else you might want, like excellent food at the nearby "Creamery" and lots of excellent trails and beaches. After venturing out, we return to the pool!! Life is good.

Peaceful comfortable getaway

This is our second time staying in The Clearing. It's one of our all-time favorite stays. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. We could live in this comfortable house. It's charming and well-appointed with everything you'll need. The bed is comfortable. Sit on the screened-in porch and look at the mountain in the distance. Read a book or go for a hike. If you're here in the summer, swim in the large pool. That was a treat on our first stay. This time we were here for Smith College's graduation. It was a perfect respite after full days with our Smithie. If life brings us this way again, we'll definitely be back.
