Wasn’t the worst or the best of our stays on VRBO. House was decent, dated and obviously older build. It didn’t have a clean feel to it when we arrived so we cleaned immediately upon arriving. Dishwasher was full of dishes and personal items appeared to be left behind by the previous tenants. Refrigerator also still contained food. Considering the rental required a cleaning fee I found that disappointing. Newer carpets/floors but everything else as far as house goes is fairly old. Including faucets/tubs/lower shower heads etc. Pool has damage to the cement/tiles and landscaping is overgrown and unkept for the most part. Also a damaged brick on the fireplace posed a hazard for small kids. Not really a big issue but something to be aware of. Security was questionable- as you can’t lock the back gate nor the sliding back doors. The side locks and floor lock on the back door is broken. Allowing for easy access to the house. Very few **extras** in the house- 6 older regular sized towels with matching smaller face towels- thankfully we brought our own. Two rooms do not have TV’s and the showers are short and small- they do provide shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Neighborhood was quiet, nice, felt safe and many things close to it as far as restaurants, parks, shopping, and grocery. Lastly, I’d mention the lack of early communication. We received no Check-in information until hours before check-in and that was after a phone call and two VRBO messages.
