A wonderful home in East Dallas. Enjoy a private patio with large fenced back yard. Fiber internet for working at home. Unique xeriscaping in the front yard is nice to enjoy while sitting on the front deck. Quiet neighborhood, with plenty of large trees. Completely updated kitchen for all your cooking needs. Close to White Rock lake, Dallas Arboretum and downtown, easy access from anywhere in Dallas.

I had a wonderful stay. The home was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully prepared—everything I needed was there, from well-stocked bathrooms to comfortable bedding and a fully equipped kitchen.The backyard is truly spacious and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The neighborhood felt very safe and quiet, which added to the overall comfort of the stay.What makes this place special is its character. It’s an older home that doesn’t try to feel new—and that’s exactly its charm. It has a sense of history, warmth, and authenticity you simply don’t find in modern spaces. The art and library were especially beautiful and added a unique, personal touch.At the same time, everything functions perfectly—appliances, utilities, all seamless.If you appreciate a home with soul, charm, and thoughtful care, this is a truly special place to stay.

Sadly I was a bit surprised and disappointed as the house received high ratings from prior guests. We felt we were missing something. The house was an older Boho style home from the late 50s. We expected an older home and that was fine. The house was well stocked and the host was very responsive and kind when we contacted her twice during our stay.What we didn’t expect was the condition of many aspects of the home. The front steps, back patio and garage are in extremely poor condition. The front door key pad worked about half the time as the door is worn out and had to be perfectly closed for it to work. They did give us a key so we could access the home easier. We went to put the car in the garage that night and there was no light so did that in the dark. The next morning we saw a small sign that said please don’t use garage. The ceiling appears to be ready to fall in. We moved the car out and just left it outside the rest of the time. The back patio has major cracks and the concrete is coming up. They have tried to cover it all with area rugs - 3 or 4 - which actually makes it more hazardous. There is also a tin pot covering an electrical wire that says please don’t move which is a hazard. The back yard had prior guests dog poop which hadn’t been cleaned up. Towels were old and bleach stained but seemed unclean because of the wear. It was hard to tell on parts of the floor what was worn and what might be dirt. We do not recommend.

Loved staying here! The home was as pictured & described - the bed was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with all the tools needed to prepare & enjoy meals & coffee. It was wonderful to have a fenced backyard for our pups to stretch their legs, too!Our hostess was welcoming & responsive.

The house has an eclectic vibe. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and tea options (no coffee but provided a coffee maker and filters), the backyard was a good size and had outdoor seating. The beds were comfortable for all guests. The master shower is very small but typical of houses built in that era. It also has low water pressure/flow. The shower in the guest bathroom is a tub/shower combo and has great pressure. All in all, I would stay there again.

Great Stay

We needed a place to stay for a couple of weeks while our floors were being redone. The house was great for us and our dogs. Nice, big yard. Location was convenient for us and easy entry. Would recommend!

Wonderful

We enjoyed staying here so much, our dog loved the big, grassy yard; alot of thoughtful touches all around. Close to the beautiful parks at White Rock Lake, neighborhood very quiet, and canopied with trees for walks. Would definitely book again.

Quick getaway

Took my 85 year-old dad and my two dogs to visit friends and family in the Dallas area. This place was perfect for us. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The dogs had a big backyard. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe I was able to take the dogs on a long walk twice a day. It was so easy to connect with our host. She made our stay very easy and enjoyable. Would definitely come back. Wi-Fi signal was great as I needed to get some work done while I was there.

Centrally located, Comfortable and dog friendly!

This is a cute 2 bedroom/2 bath mid twentieth century house with a fenced backyard. When using the key pad to unlock the front door you have to wait until it quits making noise before you can open the door. The house is clean and neat with enough kitchen equipment to do some basic cooking. I made coffee & breakfast every morning. The coffee maker was a bit hard to find because it was on a shelf in the kitchen closet which also contained the trash can, etc. Our dog is diabetic and I have to give her daily shots so she usually travels with my husband and I. The fenced backyard is great for dogs. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean older home

The house is solid but could use some updating. Seating is limited in the tv viewing room, but the kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped. We were disappointed that the promised parking in the garage was not available, but we did appreciate the washer and dryer.
