“I stayed here, but there was no lantern or scissors provided, and the lantern in my friend’s unit was broken too. So I asked for a replacement, but I was told there wasn’t one available and to just deal with it. I asked them to help resolve the issue, but all they said was to talk to the manager in the morning. I think that is very poor customer service.”

“Very clean room with friendly staff. It is also really close to the casino and has a shuttle that runs every half hour starting at 4pm.”

“While the staff were very friendly and helpful. The property itself was like strolling back into 1980. It was not at all what I was expecting to find upon my arrival. Things were clean enough, but very outdated. I will say that the bed was actually very comfortable. The impression I gathered from the website was that of abotuque bed and breakfast, which was not at all the case.”

“Whenever I'm traveling thru Southern CT on business, the Lamplighter is my go to for staying over. Clean room. Comfortable bed, plenty of Hot Water, microwave and mini fridge, good TV. Reasonable price, close to the highway. Restaurants within walking distance. It has it all.”

This place is worst than a dive, no proper check in procedures, note on the door says to call ABC person who then would contact XYZ (allowed me to check in an hour early). “The first room had bugs and dead bugs all over the room. Bathroom had a spider on the ceiling and smelt musty. Second room was a bit cleaner but the shower curtain was dirty along with the shower floor. Blinds and curtain didn’t fully cover for privacy”
