Utopia on Oil Creek waterfront property Wi-Fi available

Utopia is a waterfront cabin located on 4 acres overlooking Oil Creek in Derby Indiana. Originally constructed in 1849 and dismantled and moved to its current location today in 2019. It offers a queen bed in the upstairs sleeping loft and a futon on the main floor. Wi-Fi is now available in the cabin. It has 1 bathroom with a washer and dryer also. The kitchen has a full-size stove and refrigerator. The hot tub is located on the front porch overlooking the grounds and creek. Hot tub is cleaned between stays and will require time to reheat. We have a fire pit off the deck. A charcoal grill is provided but you need to bring your own charcoal. Utopia is a short walk to the Mogan Ridge Trailhead. Utopia is the perfect place for a small family to come relax and enjoy a fishing trip or a relaxing getaway.
The Derby Community Center and park is located in Derby just a short drive away. They host many events and also have a boat ramp into the Ohio River. There are basketball courts, swings, slides, a shelter house at the park.

Authentic cabin experience with present day amenities. Property with mature trees and quiet sprawling hills overlooking the creek. Hot tub was great. Tell City is a beautiful short drive away. There is no internet at cabin and cell service is very limited. Could use some towel bars, caulking, cubbard cleaning and dish expansion,and some furniture updating. A/C had issue keeping up as it was in the 90s though. Take extra fans to circulate air up to loft sleeping area. Would return again, as the value is there, just needed a little more.

Great little cabin in secluded bliss. Was surprised there was no wifi. Ladder to get upstairs steeeeep. Not for elderly people unless they slept in living room on futon. Hot tub great! (Needs braced underneath before it collapses.) If you plan to eat in take groceries with you. No big stores around and the Derby Market and General Store are . Overall a great little cabin in the woods.

The property was beautiful. Cabin homey and clean. Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. The only thing would be to include that no WiFi and low reception, you are pretty much not going to have any connection. We enjoyed our time walking beautiful trails and relaxing with good books.

Perfect size

This cabin was the perfect size for myself and my daughters (12 and 16) to have a getaway. The property does not have Wi-Fi, but I was able to use the hotspot on my cell to use my laptop.

Cute cabin and hot tub

Amazing stay for Valentine's Weekend with my partner. The property manager's communication was very courteous and helpful. The property is great, remote enough to feel private, but still only a few minutes away from the general store, which has pretty much anything you might need. There's only one cabin within eyesight from the back deck, and only during the day. Loved the hot tub and got our money's worth out of it. The cabin was roomier than we were expecting, with a very well equipped kitchen, even had an electric mixer, which I wasn't expecting. The loft is pretty bare bones and the stairs up to it are steep, but neither were a real problem. There were plenty of towels provided. And even air mattresses that the two of us didn't need, with those, it could definitely easily comfortably accommodate a family. Very positive stay overall.
