Our stay from Thursday to Monday was very disappointing. Upon arrival, the neighbor collecting payment mentioned the trash was not taken out and floors weren’t cleaned. The house smelled dirty, especially the restroom. When I informed the host, she accused us of causing the mess—claiming there was vomit on the toilet—and also accused us of taking beer from her outside fridge. This was entirely untrue. Despite some verbal communication at first, once we switched to text, no follow-up or resolution happened. The whole stay was uncomfortable, and we felt unfairly accused. I cannot recommend this listing!

The place was generally pretty tidy, aside from the fridge which had gross leftover food in it (beware of weird homemade popsicle concoction in the freezer). Clean sheets and towels, and most personal items were put away. We only stayed for a few nights and ran out of toilet paper, and there were no extra rolls of toilet paper to be found. We also saw a few ants in the restroom and one of the bedrooms. The pool was advertised but not usable, and the hot tub had trouble heating up, so we didn’t end up using that either. Neighbor was very nice and stopped by to try to help with the hot tub situation! Overall it wasn’t bad, just a few basic things would’ve improved the experience. It felt a little like whoever lived there had just packed up and left rather than preparing for guests. Great beds and TVs though- we enjoyed watching Twilight on the big screen.

We reserved this for the beautiful pool & hot tub that is featured on the listing. It’s a comfortable home with some fun extras and a large covered back patio and with several seating areas. We were looking forward to spending quiet days relaxing in the sun and water. I messaged as we started our long drive to say how much we were looking forward to the pool, and got a friendly reply with key code but no warning that the pool was not working (or we would have booked elsewhere). On arrival, we found the hot tub was completely drained and the pool filters clogged and had not been working for several days, at least. The pool was very dirty with dust and pine needles covering the bottom. Host did have pool guys fix it and fill the hot tub, but by the time we gave the filters and chemicals time to do their work, we had lost 2 out of the 3 days of our trip. (It was never fully clean and probably needs a cover. The hot tub never heated while we were there.) Overall, it was incredibly disappointing and not the spring break we had hoped - and paid - for.There were several maintenance issues inside, as well: master bedroom electrical out for a day and shower broken, and the dishwasher had old standing water, so we hand washed. There are aeveral large TVs and huge sectional sofa and comfortable beds. It’s fine, but we booked it for a pool we couldn’t use.

This place was great for us. We didn't want to pay high end Palm Springs prices, and prefer a local vibe. This is close enough to everything in the area, we didn't drive more than 20 minutes to any golf courses we played. The house is set up with lots of TVs, the kitchen is full of pots and pans and dishes, the beds were comfortable. It's not a brand new place but it's well kept and cleanliness was good. The host was very friendly. A big part of our choice on this place was it has a hot tub. There's a nice grill outside, seating areas, covered and shaded and sunny. The temps were unseasonably high during our visit and it was nice that this house was always about 10 degrees cooler outside than down in Palm Springs proper. The AC worked great. Wifi worked great. The hot tub was a big draw for us and after a little miscommunication it was great. I'd suggest as a guest- get the instructions for how it works up front. To our host- maybe leave an instruction sheet for guests on how to fire it up. It was a nice relief for sore old muscles after lots of golf. We didn't use the pool- the super high winds that came through a few times made a big mess, and bad luck the pool cleaner robot contraption was down. I am not one to blame ownership for bad luck. This is a great bargain and a very nice host. Great local food, taco places, etc. Also of course can just drive into wherever you want quite easily.
