The view of the mountains is beautiful and it’s a fun house that can fit a ton of people. But if you’re looking for a nice rental and not a party pad, there are probably better options out there. Check in was really difficult. The keypad information I was sent was incorrect. The "contact host" number listed in VRBO was incorrect. Most of the keypad combos didn’t work. Some of the lockbox combos didn’t work. Some of the lockboxes had keys that didn’t fit the door. This was the dirtiest vacation rental experience we’ve ever had. The fridge had been cleared but not wiped down so there was food splatter. Unwiped surfaces in bathrooms. We found wet dirty toilet paper clinging to a floorboard. There was a broken couch sitting in the middle of a patio. A detached screen door leaning on a wall in the patio. Half of the lawn chairs were broken. A bathroom mirror that had fallen off the wall was leaning on its side. I opened a cabinet looking for board games and the door came right off in my hand. The sliding door to the main house was missing a lock. I reached out multiple times about it and got responses that sounded like a bot. We finally ended up using a broomstick to secure the door at night. Communication with Apek Rental was automated and got really frustrating. We paid to have the pool heated using links in VRBO, but the pool person said they had never received a message about turning on the heat from VRBO, so the pool heated a full day later than expected.
