“Je viens de passer trois jours à l’Hôtel Rio à Ouidah et le séjour a été tout simplement extraordinaire. L’hôtel est calme, confortable et très agréable. Les lits sont particulièrement confortables, ce qui garantit un excellent repos. Le personnel mérite une mention spéciale : accueillant, disponible, souriant et toujours prêt à rendre service. “We only stayed here one night, but the staff were so friendly and accomodating. The rooms are HUGE. Breakfast was very filling, we were offered eggs, an assortment of bread, salad, fruit, juice, tea and coffee. The kids enjoyed the pool and the games out on the terrace. The manager, Toby, was very friendly and our kids loved his dog, Moon.”

“The property was not in great shape. Tile missing around the toilet, AC unit didn't have a working display and had missing blades, overall sense of that the place was old and not well maintained. Front desk was also really confused about me having prepaid on Hotels.com and held us up from leaving because of this, even though I told them at check-in time. There was a mini-fridge, at least, and the location is reasonably good”

“Not much to do really. The bungalow rooms are big but pretty basic. Clean sheets (horrible hard pillows) and bathroom but stains on almost everything else - rugs and chair. No soap in the rooms, had to go beg for it, not sure why we had to do that. Staff and TV pretty much all French so learn some if you don't know any. The management doesn't particularly seem to be trying to be better, seem fine being a bit stuck in the past and providing just basic rooms at a basic price with no entertainment...
