“I was in Gabs for a week for work, and I was pleasantly surprised by Avani. Room was comfortable and quiet, there were multiple restaurants and a coffee shop on site, and the gym was pretty big with multiple machines, treadmills, weights, etc. Pool looked nice but I didn’t have a chance to use it on this trip, though the seating around it was really nice for grabbing a bite to eat while finishing work. And the spa is amazing! Great massage there. I will be back!”

“Slightly confusing entrance as the hotel is currently under renovation, and fewer rooms were available with the construction works (we were told it will be fully open at the start of May). However the restaurant and small pool were both open. The location is outside the main town but it was nice to feel away from that. The garden rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good. “Really enjoyed our stay here. It was such a characterful hotel and our room was gorgeous with beautiful views over the Chobe river from the balcony. The game drives and river cruise were really good and a reasonable price. I would say, the service was very up and down, sometimes outstanding, at other times quite cold and disorganised. The same is true of the game drives, one was incredible, the other was quite mediocre. Food too, sometimes was exceptional (like the BBQ at the poolside bar), at...
