“The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Rooms are very dated. The fireplace in the room didn’t work and the phone in the room didn’t work when I tried to call the desk for assistance. The front desk staff wasn’t very helpful. View of the lake was the best thing about the property. ”

“Although it is very early season, the whole resort was not completely open. Especially the dining venues. We were basically left to 2 choices fo dining. Of the 2, we dined in the grill area. The food was just ok. They didnt use real butter to grill the bread, instead using the fake oil stuff which is awful to begin with. It transfers the burned flavor of sitting out the grill too long then the grill metallic tastes transfers to the bread. (I know this because i was a chef for many years)”

“The cabins at one point were very beautiful but, has not had maintenance for many years. We were in cabin 6 which has many steps to go down to get to cabin. Steps have not been maintained and are crooked, stanting, etc. The railing to hang onto was very rickety and not sturdy at all. The wallpaper was peeling in many spots in the upper bathroom. It looked like they had tried to glue it down but wasn't sticking. Cobwebs in many of the corners.”

“The place is absolutely amazing. Beautiful breakfast was awesome. The host is the best I’ve ever met warm and friendly would definitely recommend.”

“This property is having a complete renovation. I would not have stayed if i had any idea. Nothing on website indicated anything. We stayed 4 nights and I guess you are totally on your own to find clean towels, toilet paper etc. Hotel was permeated with paint and adhesive smells. Open Rooms under these circumstances should not cost $158 per night. ”
