“Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated. Attentive and polite staff. We had dinner in their Antlers restaurant twice and it was first class but not cheap. Central location beside the cathedral. Secure car parking. ”

“I had stayed here previously a few years ago and was surprised to find how run down this hotel was. The layout of reception etc… had changed now requiring going up and down lots of stairs. Our beds had seen better days. The paint was peeling off our bathroom door and the television unit. The shower was freezing and shot water all over the bathroom floor. Breakfast was welcome to the 70’s era. Stale cornflakes and tinned mandarins. My husband ordered Eggs Benedict off the made to order menu and...

“I was using the Park just as a base so would not be fair to comment further on it as a holiday venue, that said there were lots of happy faces, everyone seemed occupied with events of an evening. Child and dog friendly with the former having their own entertainment programme. My mobile home was clean, well equipped for what I needed and I could park outside the accommodation. As I say it was a base and I went out every day, didn't use any of the facilities aside from the bar for a beer and...

“The clean and well equipped rooms are in a separate building to the pub itself so there are no food smells or customer noise. The setting is lovely with walks and the marina nearby. There is plenty of parking (free). All in all, great value for money.”

“Easy parking, easy check in, quiet outside , quiet inside. Only noise we had was early in the morning when the child above us was running around. Bathroom could do with a new bath side and the silicone redone. Need more sockets , as there wasn't enough to charge our phones. Will be back again ”

“Bed & Breakfast pulitissimo, camera ampia (quella in cui ho soggiornato io, almeno) e bagno altrettanto, ottimo comfort, finiture e mobilio di qualità, recenti ed in ottimo stato. Dotazione delle camere completa, sono presenti anche adattatori per le prese e kit per interventi di cucito d'emergenza. Gestito da persone giovani e gentilissime. Colazione inglese di qualità, fermate dell'autobus a 200 m.”

“Room was clean bed comfortable nice fluffy towels parking was good wi fi was good we had 2 teabags in the room for 2 night stay when we asked for more was offered 2 only had to ask could we have 2 more some staff were friendly others a bit miserable. ”

“I had a good stay at the Castle Hotel. Lovely little hotel, super comfy bed and gorgeous bed linen. The room was spotless and generous tea and coffee making facilities. Nice bathroom products. No A/C as it's a beautiful old building, but that was fine as was able to open windows and control the radiator. I didn't have a cooked breakfast but buffet options were fine and the other guests seemed to be enjoying their cooked food. I will stay again, thank you.”

“Great overnight stay in a Superior Suite. Tastefully Decorated. Nice ensuite bathroom with lovely large shower. Bedroom has a Comfortable bed, which was very high up if you're not that tall :) & a tv. Separate room with Leather settee & a tv. Good space for a Couple. Clean through out. Continental Breakfast was delicious & plentiful. Staff very nice & pleasant. Location Excellent with a carpark on its doorstep. Highly recommend. We would definitely return again.”
