“The unit was adequate for a two night stay. Very convenient for early morning boat trip on Doubtful Sound. Beautiful view of lake. Road a stone’s throw in front of unit but not very busy and bedroom was at the rear. Old fashioned interior and furnishings. Plenty of hot water, clean bedding and towels. No television but good WiFi. Overall we felt pricing was a bit on the high side. Parking beside unit. ”

“Our room was comfortable. We had a suite and there as no TV in the bedroom which would have been more comfy. The bed was comfortable and great to sleep in. The bathroom was good except the shower had a pull around screen instead of a fixed one and we found that once showering the water went everywhere.”

“Very good and tactical accomodation for reaching Milford sound, the area is overall very good. Personnel was very nice and helpful, bedroom comfortable, albeit a bit cold. Good breakfast and parking”

“Thankfully, I booked a premium room- which has very clearly been redone in recent years. The bathroom and bed was lovely- but truth be told, the hotel itself is so, so old and outdated. Lack of lighting, dark and do finger… you could also smell the scent of cigarettes in the lobby. It literally felt like an old hospital/psych wards… I’d recommend it if it’s a quick one night stay, but sheesh- weird, and overpriced for what it was…”

“The rooms have an incredible view of the garden and lake. The room is spacious with a kitchenette. There is a washer and dryer on the premises. Cost 5.00. The staff was very nice. I noticed thr bathroom mirror was cleaned and the mattress was uncomfortable. ”

“Overall acceptable “motel” but probably not worth the value , it’s close to the lake but certainly not to the front. The “front” of the rooms offer fantastic views and sounds from a trafficking road instead. Rooms are pretty old fashioned and the bed was garnished with a brownie fake ( and dusty) fur. Welcoming was excellent though but certainly not sufficient to compensate.”

“Our room had the quietest door between ensuite and bedroom that I have ever encountered. It was great as I am a night riser. They kindly made up our room each day, but without making the beds. It was great being within walking distance of eateries/town.”
