“Everything was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had so much to choose from. We had an amazing view from our corner room. And the outside onsen was so relaxing and beautiful. ”

“An older property with some quirks, but the location is ideal, and the staff wonderful! The in-room mini onsen a gift after a day of skiing. A close walk to all the fun restaurants and shops of Hirafu, and the ski in/ out access is ideal. Shout out to the front desk team who answered all questions and helped us book a car at the last minute when uber flaked.”

“We very much enjoyed our stay at Chalet Ivy. The room was a good size and the drying cupboards were very welcome as they helped to dry out ski jackets etc. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety of choices. Staff were helpful and polite. The ski concierge and hire service was also very useful. Prices for ski hire were competitive except for helmets which were a lot cheaper to hire elsewhere eg Rhythm”

“Very nice hotel with great staff that helped us book a reservation at a restaurant in a nearby town. The room was very large and very clean. I would have given 5/5 stars; however, the dinner buffet was not the best, given the expensive price.”

“We loved this Swiss looking artsy hotel , with a beautiful lobby that you can roast marshmallows at by the fire pit indoors, some free beverages for guests in the afternoon , and many amenities you can take up to your room like fancy shampoos and hair masks. My dad and brother enjoyed the Onsen very much. The room was rather spacious and was spotless, the bathroom was very tiny almost like a cruise bathroom.
