However, the grounds and overall maintenance do not reflect the level expected from a Relais & Châteaux or Michelin Key property. “The Fortress Resort and Spa is a five-star hotel. It boasts a prime location—if your travel destination is the famous "stilt fishermen," several such sites are just a two-minute walk from the hotel. From the hotel grounds, guests can enjoy panoramic, spectacular views of the ocean. The hotel offers top-notch service and world-class facilities. Its restaurant, however, is merely average; the variety of food available does not quite justify the price point.”

“The villa was in a fabulous location right on a beach with clean, golden sand. The villa’s bedrooms were spacious, clean and each had its own on suite. Our extended family of 14 enjoyed the deck near the large swimming pool and also the deck chairs near the water. The staff looked after us like royalty and the chef and kitchen staff cooked us some delicious food. All in all we had an amazing week at South Point Villa and I thoroughly recommend it as an excellent place to stay.”

The staff were splendid. We ate all our meals at the hotel restaurant because it tasted so good and the staff were so helpful and friendly.”
