The Space:
Meet Your Home Away from Home

Our beautifully-renovated, spacious, and cozy four-bedroom three-bathroom home nestled on the southeast side of Farmington Hills offers a sanctuary and all the comforts you're looking for! Relax on the rear deck or gather around the fire pit for cozy evenings (bring your own kindling & firewood)! With easy access to SE Michigan's best restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, and more, this is the perfect place for any gathering or getaway! Optimized for Work-From-Home with two custom-built desks featuring dual-monitor setups with USB-C docks, keyboards, and mouses so you can be as productive here as in your office! And, after you can enjoy a home-cooked meal with family and friends in our gorgeous modern kitchen / dining area! With plenty of off-street parking in our secluded driveway, this is the perfect spot for any gathering or getaway!

Enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi, Smart TVs in the living room and in each bedroom, French Roast coffee pods + Keurig, Nespresso + pods, Memory Foam beds, fresh linens, in-suite washer/dryer, Solimo bath products, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Message us if there’s anything we can help with!

The front door to our two-level home is located up just a few steps on our front porch with an additional rear door up just one step in the backyard. The main level on the east side of the house features two full bathrooms and three bedrooms along with the kitchen, living room, and dining area. The lower level on the western side of the house, down a set of 4 steps, features one bedroom, one bathroom / laundry room, another living area and our office area along with access to the basement, which has another set of laundry machines. Our backyard living space includes a limestone fire pit sitting area and a deck, both accessible via the rear gate and via the sliding glass door in the western living room.

Enjoy a seamless check-in experience with keyless digital access. Check-in anytime that fits your schedule, after 4:00 pm. If you’d like an early check-in, shoot us a message the day before your stay. If no other guest is checking out, you’re welcomed to check-in anytime!

Sink into soft, plush memory foam mattresses, hypoallergenic down alternative microfiber comforter, crisp clean linens, and extra blankets for the winter in each of our bedrooms. Stay rested with blackout drapes in each bedroom.

Sleeping Arrangements

In addition to five queen beds (two in one bedroom and one in each of the others), we have a queen size air mattress too! Plenty of extra linens and pillows are available to ensure groups of any size have a comfortable, restful stay.

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:

We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.

We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

Parking

We have two driveways: one that fits up to four (4) cars all in tandem and one that fits up to four cars (in two tandem columns). There is no public street parking on either side of our house so if additional parking is needed, we recommend parking in the neighborhood to our northeast.

Entry
_____________
The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the side kitchen door. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.

When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.

Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate.

Our Neighborhood

This house is well-located for access to I-696, meaning quick access to the whole Detroit Metro area from downtown Birmingham down to Royal Oak and nearby cities including Clawson and Ferndale. The house is also only a thirty-minute drive to Michigan Avenue and all of Detroit’s best amenities.

House Rules

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:

- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

Getting Around

While access to public transportation is not easily available from our house, UBER and LYFT run consistently in the area and are quick, cheap, and accessible options to get anywhere in the Farmington Hills/Novi/Detroit and Plymouth/Northville/Canton and nearby areas!

We gathered to celebrate a wedding reception hosted nearby. The property was perfect for our group. It was very clean and well organized. We would definitely book a return stay. It is very continently located to shopping, restaurants as well as local businesses. The manager was also very prompt to respond to my questions. Overall a great experience!
