“First impressions are important. The exterior of this hotel is like a horror movie. Inside the theme continues. It's very dated. But if you like quirky seaside hotels then this place is for you. I think someone was smoking in their room because I could smell cigarette smoke. My room had a farty odour. I can't really complain for the price I paid. It was close to a nice Nepalese restaurant and also a convenient store. And is close to the seafront too but a fair way from the town and amusements. ”

“This hotel is very welcoming and friendly! We had a lovely 2day break! Rooms immaculate spotless and super clean! Home cooked food which was beautiful! The restaurant and bar had lovely decor and I would highly recommend! The location for this hotel is perfect to visit surrounding areas! Staff very friendly and helpful.”

The property itself is quite large, which may contribute to some of the upkeep challenges. However, throughout the property the carpets appeared worn and in poor condition, and the upholstery in the restaurant was also noticeably tired and in need of refurbishment. Room was great for accessibility but it did smell a bit musty/damp - but then had wet room so maybe that is why. ”
