“Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. “The hotel was advertised as pet friendly on Expedia, charging £20 per stay for a dog. I was surprised to be messaged by the management a week before my stay (even though I've booked 3 weeks prior) informing me that I will be charged £30 per night for my dog.
I'm glad to say they did honour the advert content and charged me £20 in the end.

“Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website.
Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to.
Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...
