On the grounds there are ruins of old french vacation homes and other facilities from the 1930's, 40's and 50's which can be walked to and explored. Very unique experience and these particular sites are not available to those who are not guests at Melia. (There are some other historic sites on other parts of the mountain). It is a relaxing getaway as well!”

“For a cheap style hotel located on the far outskirts of Hanoi it was surprisingly good. The rooms are large, air-conditioned and have two big double beds (hard matresses) and a small private bathroom (a bit run down but good hot water). Room even has a smart TV....but that's about it.
Located in a very quiet street but very limited food options, especially after dark. We used it as a stop over from Cat Ba to SaPa which was ideal. Much better than the over populated and way too busy Hanoi Old...
