We stay in a lot of rentals and Luxe Grand is the first negative review we’ve ever written (for any service). We decided to write this to help another family avoid what we experienced at Luxe Grand. Post stay, the owner has evaded any and all contact with us regarding the disgusting rat infestation we had, leaving us no other option. Here are the details I wish we knew prior to booking:
One night we were about to fall asleep in the master bedroom when we saw a rat run across the room, about 10 feet from our 6 month old baby. The staff was professional, removing the rat within 2 hours. However, the next day we found rat droppings throughout the home on both floors despite being assured the house was cleaned thoroughly. It was clear there was more than one rat and a broader infestation. The property manager came by two days later, but we still have yet to receive any response from Rory, the owner.
Additionally, prior to the rat issue, it was obvious upon entering the property that it was more misrepresented from the photos than any prior rental we’ve stayed in. Luxe Grand's photos are 5 stars but the actual home is 2 stars. The house itself is dilapidated and anything but luxe. Showers are broken (you can only use one at a time), furniture is missing from the photos, and the noise issue is real.
From one renter to another, Luxe Grand left a lot to be desired and needs proper extermination, updated photos, and a price reduction commensurate with the true state of the home.
