“We loved the well kept hotel. The garden is manicured and gorgeous! We ate at the restaurant and the meal was tasty and nice. We also watched live sports at the pub. Staff was very attentive in both and accommodating. I’d highly recommend staying at the hotel if you’re visiting the beautiful Cotswolds. ”

“We spent 2 nights at the Volunteer Inn in September in a room with shared bathroom. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the staff were all great. The breakfast was good and the pub downstairs is a good spot for a drink. Our room faces the road but was very quiet and did not get any noise from the pub. Given the cost of staying in Chipping Campden, we felt the rate was very reasonable.”

“The hotel is located in the village of Blockley, one of our favourite villages in the Cotswolds, as it is completely untouristy and truly charming. It is also very close to other villages, all easily reachable within 10–15 minutes by car. The hotel rooms are a bit dated, but the staff were extremely kind and even upgraded our room, giving us a very lovely and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast, ordered from the menu, was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay”

“This was a last min booking for us when we decided to leave our previous accommodations early (2 hours away) because they were awful. The staff here were excellent. Very very friendly. Check in and check out were very simple. Parking was a little tricky as we didn't realize at first that parking was in the rear and when we went, it was full. “Got in late and left early but the ppl were very kind and efficient The room clean, spacious and not standard. Fascinated by the age of the structure and he well it's kept. If you drive careful getting into their car park. The entrance was not made for today's fat cars. Many have scraped their left mirror on the wall. ”
