    Dodges Ferry is a rural / residential beach-side town with a population of about 3000. Its located only 25 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Sorrell and 35 minutes from Hobart. Dodges Ferry has many beautiful beaches, including the famous surf beach at Park & Carlton beach. There is a wonderful grocery store, welcoming cafes and pubs. It's possible that you will never want to leave the town! However, if you do, there are nearby wineries and quaint villages worth a visit. Dodges Ferry is the ideal spot to stay if you are looking to explore the Tasman Peninsula.

Original Doges Ferry shack

A wonderful treat to stay in an original shack on the beach at Dodges over Christmas. Love the colours and decor inside, and the addition of a Christmas tree was very thoughtful. Location is quiet, convenient to shops, and jetty/rocks for fishing. Loved our morning swims, and afternoon sitting reading books gazing out to the islands and watching the changing light across the sea and mountains. Would definitely visit again.

Paradise at Blue Lagoon

We loved everything. We wanted the children to experience the freedom of running down to the beach, hearing the waves and feeling like they were in a real holiday house. All of that was achieved at this beautiful place. Thank you for sharing it.
