“It is a lovely setting and the rooms are excellent. Breakfast was great and it was a beautiful start to the day to be sat with a great breakfast in our window looking over the gardens. Point for Expedia bookers: Two points to flag that weren’t obvious to me on Expedia when I booked. I chose this because it had a pool, and my disgusted love staying where there is a pool - but the pool costs €22 per adult to use in pre booked slots only, and children aren’t welcome in the pool. “This is a very beautiful property, but out in the middle of nowhere with no walkable restaurants . The grounds are beautiful, but very small. Was more of a location for a wedding or an event not just the casual traveler wanting a castle experience .There is a very small town walkable with a market. We ate charcuterie in our room, which was amazing this app accommodated day last-minute wine tasting, but 45 minute Uber ride to and from. now, with that said it wasn’t exactly what we expected but...

"This hotel is fantastic! It looks a bit old from the outside, and actually you can also see some signs of wear in the room. But it doesn't really matter. The atmosphere is incredible, they recreated the vibes of a surf destination in the lobby and breakfast area. The breakfast is rich and full, and you can have it inside or outside in a nice outdoor area that's not yet reached by the sun in the morning, so it keeps a comfortable temperature even in full summer. The staff is really kind and helpful, and provides a 5 stars customer service. I also like the fact that there's a water machine to fill your bottle always available."
