The Lodge is run by the Harvey's Point Hotel next door. The rooms at the Lodge are compact but more affordable for the traveler working on a smaller budget. Although the hotel is located about 10/15 minutes from the town of Donegal, they have their own restaurant and bar open to guests. I had an amazing dinner there which I highly recommend. They also offer a complimentary breakfast for all guests with a huge assortment of breakfast foods to choose from.

We got a pleasant surprise on arrival, we were upgraded from a twin room in the lodge to a king suite in the hotel. It’s phenomenal, the comfort is beyond belief. It was just the perfect two night stay for us.

Idyllic haven in county Donegal.
Harvey's point is amazing. We loved everything about it....the decor, landscaping, location, food and accomodation. It was a truly lovely experience.

Superb Facilities and Friendly Staff.
Fabulous hotel although we stayed in The Lodge. The Lodge was a little cramped for my partner who is used to lots of space although it was great valve for money because you had access to the main hotel facilities. I thought the Lodge was fine. If you want luxury then stay in the main hotel, but you will pay much more.

The Lodge's rooms would be fine if i were a deaf Hobbit. The beds are small, but apart from that they were comfortable enough for tired travellers. However, i doubt that anybody could sleep undisturbed by the constantly banging doors. How difficult can it be to install some form of dampener on the doors to prevent them banging shut and annoying guests. The food was 5 star quality, as were the views over Lough Eske.

We arrived on a misty Irish night and were immediately ushered in to warmth and comfort. The white glove service was the denouement to a magical excursion along the Wild Atlantic Way. The room was spacious and luxurious with exceptional amenities. Highly recommend this gem set in a gorgeous panorama straight from a fairy tale.

The setting in the country is idyllic, and the hotel is first rate. The lodge is a bit less charming, the beds are "bunk style" singles so they were disappointing for a couple on their honeymoon. But the restaurant is excellent and the staff solicitous.

Was a little hard to find, but the location was lovely, the staff were very friendly, it was very enjoyable. Breakfast was fantastic. *Check in at the main hotel next door to receive your key card for The Lodge.

Lovely 2 night break
Beautiful spot. Hotel is excellent. Staff are lovely. It is a bit remote. Taxi €12 ish to Donegal Town. We stayed in the Lodge which is detached from the main hotel. Rooms are small but perfectly formed. The Lodge prices are significantly less than the main Hotel but personally I prefer the Lodge, so it suits me. I wouldn't recommend the Lodge for wheelchair access. Too hilly. Main hotel is fine.

It would have been great to have stayed longer
We stayed for one night at the Lodge where the accommodation is compact. The beds were comfortable and there is a good shower. It was quiet at night. We ate in the restaurant which is in the main hotel and overlooks Lough Eske where the options are 4 course fixed price or a tasting menu. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was included in the room rate. In addition to the usual cooked breakfast there were fish and omelette options and croissants, cereals, cold cuts etc. The staff had the right balance between being friendly, good humoured, courteous and professional. The area is ideal for walking and there is lovely scenery. Overall this was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Brilliant start to the Wild Atlantic Way.
Simply superb. We had a three night stay. The Lodge is approximately 300m from the Harveys Point Hotel which is where you need to go on arrival to check in and get your key cards. There are no permanent staff at the Lodge. Harveys Point Hotel is a really top class venue. As guests in the Lodge you have full access to all of the Hotel facilities, bar & bar restaurant, restaurant and most importantly of all, the full breakfast offer. You probably won't find a better breakfast offer in all of Ireland. Fantastic staff who treat you the same as if you were booked into the most expensive room in the Hotel, lakeside location, peaceful. The rooms in the Lodge are 'cabin' style so don't expect lots of space but it is adequate, nice en-suite and fully serviced daily. The Lodge also has a lounge area with plenty of books, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and a terrace with tables and chairs and lake views.. We will definitely return to this facility, perhaps even push the boat out and book into the Hotel. If that is too expensive for you, stay in the Lodge and take advantage of the Hotel facilities.

The lounge area is great as the room is very small, though well layout. Hardly any space to spread out the luggage. The surrounding area at the main hotel building is very scenic. Breakfast is great amd the service was excellent.
