This is an amazing hotel, we absolutely loved our stay here and highly recommend it to anyone. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately, we didnt get to try dinner as we were attending a wedding in the area. The room was wonderful, very spacious, clean and comfortable. We'd love to come and stay again sometime. Thank you!

Place is amazing, real fire in the lounges on a cold day was so inviting. staff were fantastic, rooms were remarkable and clean. Shower/bath was so relaxing. Food was very nice. Would highly recommend and will definitely book again when down this way. Thank You

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast excellent and the staff were very attentive making sure you enjoyed your meal. The breakfasts are incredible.

Truly one of THE BEST around
Absolutely lived up to its previous reviews, warm friendly pub, excellent service from such pleasant and helpful staff. The room was spacious, well appointed, airconditioned, and no shortage of tea, coffee, and spring water. Ultra clean en-suite, and a bed that hugged you when you were ready for lights out. The food was amazing, cooked so that the flavours hit your taste buds, with plenty of choices on a 'cant make my mind up what to choose' menu.Recommended for a stop over, or definitely an evening meal if you dont have the time to stay and sample the open fire and the friendly service.

Brilliant accommodation, staff and food
Room was spotless and just lovely. Food was fantastic, and all the staff were absolutely brilliant. This was a lovely relaxing break for us and we would recommend the Marquis without any hesitation.

A fabulous Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The dinner was amazing. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and well equipped- the homemade choc chip cookies were a lovely touch!

Perfection!
Perfection - graceful yet welcoming & cosy decor and the friendliest staff who really want to make your stay perfect. Kind, relaxed hosting from every member of the team, and especially welcoming to my dog! Dinner was sublime, and breakfast was generous and delicious. Cherry on the cake was the indulgently deep copper soaking bath. A great find, one to return to again and again.

My partner and I stayed here for a night away child free. All we wanted was a cosy pub, a relaxing stay and a comfy bed. We got all that with a touch of luxury. A lovely free standing copper bath, a lovely pub, delicious roast dinner. Good breakfast and a peaceful nights sleep. We left happy, well worth the money

Choose you room - but very friendly
Lovely hotel/ pub. Unfortunately we had a room over the kitchen extractor. So when the kitchen was open we had the noise of the extractor. Woken by it. Would stay again but not in that room.?

Beautiful place and wonderful food.
Really enjoyed our stay here. We were made very welcome on arrival, our room was immaculate (Nailbourne), and the atmosphere very relaxed. We’d already spent an amazing day at Port Lympne Safari Park and finished it off by sampling some great food and probably one too many beverages (hic!). One minor word of warning, the chef does like his/her red meat on the rare side. I had the lamb and was duly for-warned is would be served pink (no problem), however it turned out a little more rare than I would have liked. All said and done it really wasn’t an issue and we both enjoyed our meals. Breakfast the following morning did not disappoint, again several items to choose form. We both opted for the fruit salad followed by a beautifully cooked full English. Very much hope to visit again!
