Family Ski Trip

We made our annual trip to Purgatory for a ski week. This was our first time staying at Cascade Village. The location is excellent in relationship to the mountain. The actual condo was just ok. We're not picky, but it was in need of some upgrades, better cleaning, and repairs. Nothing our family couldn't handle but I would assume some others would be somewhat disappointed.

Great stay!

We loved our stay and this property was perfect for my family, two couples and one baby. The pool was fun for our kiddo and the condo was great for all of us. Awesome location to get to Durango and Silverton. We did find the floor to be a bit dirty, all our feet were black and sticky! Other than that everything was clean and great!

Amazing Location

We couldn't ask for a better summer location! Right in the middle between Silverton and Durango, close to Purgatory and close to all the outdoor activities we could want. Everything was as described. Would definitely stay here again!

hikers paradise

We loved our stay at Cascade village. dealing with the property management company however was a nightmare. cell service at the condos is poor. We had trouble with the toilets in the unit. Everyday I was in contact with the management company and the problem was never fixed. In addition cupboard doors were hanging off the hinges when we arrived. the handyman did fix those. the whole place needs sprucing up and definitely needs new toilets!!

Good but no 3rd bedroom

Overall the property met our needs. Was a little more outdated than other condos we have stayed at in the same location. Was advertised as a four bedroom unit but that is not accurate, there was a bed in a room off of the master closet. That was quite a disappointment. The room was also not clean when we arrived but the management responded quickly. For the premium price I expected to get what was advertised. I do appreciate that it was well stocked with cooking supplies.

Entirely adequate

Nice place. A bit smaller than I expected, and be aware that the main bedroom is a loft with limited privacy. That said we enjoyed our stay and will likely return.

Incredible Views

Property has amazing views. We had heavy snow fall the second night there which made the drive up the mountain a little scary. In the morning we were rewarded with an incredible and beautiful blanket of snow covering the entire property and surrounding mountains. Hiking the Cascade Water Fall trail recommended by front desk clerk was sweet. We can't wait to come back next year.

Great property near Purgatory.

We enjoyed a long weekend in southern Colorado and the condo was a perfect place to stay. It was clean, easy to access and close to Purgatory ski area. We would definitely stay here again.

It wants to be great but misses the mark

This is a nice property in a lovely location but it is in need of attention. Given that we are in the middle of an epidemic and the cleaning fee we paid we expected a really clean place. The kitchen counters and bathrooms were relatively clean but what this place really needs is a good spring cleaning. Some of the dishes were dirty, the hard water ones just look disgusting, the bath mats and towels are dingy and in need of replacing, the carpet was dingy, full of burns and in some places it seems like it wasn’t vacuumed at all. There was trash left behind from the previous guest, the cabinets in the kitchen were dusty and in need of a good clean. The management company was super responsive to requests and did state that their cleaning staff was overtaxed and I get that but for me personally the dingy really takes away from the property. Great location, super quiet, good bones, in serious need of a good clean and update of frequently used items.

Nice Condo, Poor Advertising

Upon arrival at 4pm, we got in the condo and noticed that the unit was not yet cleaned from the previous guests. We went to the front reception area to notify someone, only to find that everything was closed. We called the property managers 5 times with no answer every time. From there, we found that almost all of the extra amenities that we were looking forward to when we booked were all closed (Gym, Pool, Indoor and Outdoor Hottubs, Game Room, BBQ Grill). Since we couldn’t get an answer from anyone, we played a few games of tennis to kill some time. An hour later, we went back to our vehicle and noticed there were finally people inside cleaning the condo. They finished cleaning around 6pm, 2 hours after check in. Once in, the condo was very nice. Beds were all comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, nice water pressure, and a nice fireplace, after we cleaned it. The 2 decks offer amazing views of the mountains, and tons of hummingbirds all over the place. If we didn’t have to wait 2 hours to check in, and the amenities listed were actually available, this place would have gotten 5 stars. With the pandemic going on, the description of the property should have been updated to disclose that all the extras were unavailable. In this area, it’s not hard to find a place with amazing views, and the reason we booked this place was for all the extras that we never got to access.

Colorado trip

This is a very nicely furnished and comfortable unit. We drove into Durango for rafting and site seeing. The unit was missing some box fans but the property manager was extremely responsive and was able to replace them right away. The pool and hot tub were closed due to COVID but we enjoyed the complex grounds. Thank you!

First trip to Durango, CO

This property was very clean and well appointed. Nice towels, sheets and beds were quite comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook with and we did. The views are amazing from the condo. The living space is a bit tight, but we made do just fine. Overall, our stay here was great! Looking forward to coming back in the fall.

Comfort with a view

If you are looking for a place of comfort with a Mountain View, this is the place. It is quiet, yet close to the ski resort. It has a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, fireplace, and garage parking for your car. Great place to stay!
