“There was no closet just 3 hangers on a coat rack on the wall. There were chip crumbs on the platform that the mattress was on. Hair in the bathroom floor and on the tub that WASN'T from us. Only 1 set of bath towels. Even though we didn't use the shower, it would have been nice to have two sets of towels. We didn't even use the shower. There was something "brown" on the wall between the sink and the bedroom. It could have been chocolate or it could have been.......... The whole place echoed....

“We loved our overnight stay at The Chanticleer. We had book the reservation for the wrong day and the owner(?) was very accommodating in helping us resolve 5he issue. The Inn itself was such a quaint peaceful throwback - reminding us of childhood trips long ago. Beautiful lake views from our room and a spot on dinner recommendation rounded out a perfect evening stop on our way to UP for a little getaway. Highly recommend The Chanticleer for families couples or anyone just wanting to unwind and...
