The Knotty Pine Cottage + Bunk awaits your family gathering! Surrounded by tall pines yet close to town, you'll have your perfect cottage with the "up north" feel and modern, clean amenities. For the first time, we are opening up to winter rentals to families and responsible groups. The house comfortably sleeps 8.

Major update & renovations completed in 2018. It's like staying in a new home in a rustic location on one acre property! Read our 5-Star reviews for how clean the Cottage is. The Knotty Pine is located on the ATV/Snowmobile trail and close to everything Eagle River has to offer. IF YOU ARE COMING TO PARTY, PLEASE RENT ELSEWHERE. This is our family vacation home that we open up a few times per year.

MAIN HOUSE (1,650 sq. ft.): Has a spacious kitchen, new appliances, three bedrooms, a and two new bathrooms. The main floor bath has a full-size bath tub with a hand-held sprayer for the smaller kiddos. The lower level has the second bath, new laundry and an extra full-size refrigerator. The lower level was finished in 2021 to include a large bedroom and games area, complete with a dartboard and foosball table.

BUNK HOUSE CLOSED FOR WINTER. (SUMMER RENTALS: Bunk House is 10' away but is perfect for the kiddos. A 13 x 24' space with a Queen bed and three Twin XL Bunks. The cottage has seating area, beautiful water views, tv and games galore and of course very good Wifi. The bunk was remodeled down to the studs in 2018. The bunk house sleeps 5. )

The cottage is located in the center of the Eagle River Chain of lakes between Eagle Lake and Otter Lake. The Knotty Pine Cottage + Bunk is our family's retreat. We open it to other families who will treat it like their own home. The Knotty Pine has a local caretaker who checks in during your stay to make sure you have everything you need.

Other info:
-3 night minimum in the off season, 6-7 day rentals only during the peak summer months.
- Local property care taker does an on-site check at some point during rental to make sure you are well cared for.
- Weekly rentals only in the summer months.
- Linens are provided, bring your own beach towels.
- There is NO SMOKING allowed on the premises. Inside or out. If you or your guests smoke, please find a different place to rent.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- Free Wi-fi in both Cottage and Bunk.

Kitchen appliances: Gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Second refrigerator in lower level, plus new washer, new dryer & laundry sink.
- 100' of frontage on a one acre lot.
- No Pets allowed.
- Slack line, outdoor games

Great stay

We had a wonderful time. The property is in a great central location on the chain. The house was well stocked with everything you might need. It was very clean. Comfy beds and plenty of wood to have fires in the evening. The dock was perfect for our boat. Would definitely reccomend.

Great Stay on the chain.

Our family had a awesome time at the Knotty Pine. We just loved the cabin and the bunkhouse was great for the kids to hang out. Very well stocked with games, movies, and all of the essentials in the kitchen. Great location with easy access to the whole chain of lakes. The channel can be quite busy and a little loud at times but was fun watching all of the action. We hope to come back again next year!

Small Cabin, Great Location

The location on the chain of lakes was great, we rented a pontoon and had fun exploring all of the lakes. The channel was busy during the middle of the day. We loved the bunkhouse for the kids. Outdoor space was great with the hammock, firepit, tables and lots of seating, access to the water and dock. The cabin was clean and had some nice updates, though the indoor space was too small for our group of 7 adults and 5 kids. You are responsible for removing your own garbage and recycling.

Sweet place in the woods

We had a great holiday weekend at Andrea’s place- between the finished basement, bunkhouse and outdoor furniture, there were many places to spread out. Great to have a second fridge, too! One of my favorite Wisco VRBO experiences.

Serene location on the river

We had three families with 10 total people--6 adults and 4 children ages 10-12. We enjoyed the location which was on a channel leading to several lakes on the chain of lakes in Eagle River. The cottage was very clean with updated facilities. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The children enjoyed the outdoor games and the Foosball table in the lower level. There are multiple indoor games and kids movies that are also supplied.The four kids enjoyed the retreat of the separate bunkhouse (and so did the adults). The cottage is also close to a park with easy access to the swimming beach. We rented a pontoon, in addition to the canoe and kayak that are supplied. We fished and the kids swam in the shallow water off the pier by the cottage. We frequently saw deer in the front yard and ducks in the water. . The kids affectionately named one of the ducks "Goldie" and were reluctant to say goodbye the morning we left. It was a a fun trip for our family and we would definitely recommend this location for a family trip.

Amazing cabin!

Our family rented this beautiful cabin for a fun week of fishing, boating, and relaxing. The cabin is beautiful, clean, and located on gorgeous property. We enjoyed fires at night, fishing, cooking out, swimming, and boating. We all loved the view and watching the eagles fly by frequently. The owner of the cabin was very helpful and answered all my question in a very timely manner. We can’t wait to go back again!

Knotty Pine was just what my family was hoping for! The description is accurate.

Kids loved the inflatable alligator and having campfires! Adults loved sitting by the river and how well the kitchen was equipped and usable for multiple people preparing food at the same time. Lovely roads to run or bike along in the morning. We’d definitely visit again!

Wonderful Cabin

This cabin was perfect for our family (9) of adult children and a couple of their friends. We had access to the chain of lakes, comfortable sleeping arrangements, clean and up to date amenities, even great Wifi for the ones in our group who had to work while with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Location

Location is key here. The property sits on a channel on a chain of lakes. It is busy on the weekends and quiet during the week. We felt like we were camping because we literally spent all of our time outside! We kept a fire going all day; lounged in the chairs and watched the kids in the water; used the grill for lunch and dinner; fished off the dock; enjoyed the ducks, otters and more in the water; read a book in the hammock, and played some yard games! The cabin is well organized and clean. There was plenty of room for our group of 9.

Knotty Pine is a wonderful cottage!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Knotty Pine. The cottage is very up to date and extremely clean. We appreciated how well stocked the kitchen and bathrooms were. There were lots of little touches that made our stay memorable. Andrea is a delightful host and is very responsive. The location is perfect on the channel and close to downtown. I would highly recommend staying at Knotty Pine when you are looking in the area!

Nice location!

Overall a nice place and a good location for the main chain of lakes. We liked the dock and the bunkhouse. The main floor of the cabin area would be a little tight for the max amount of people, but the outside area is large! Plenty of room for a screened-in tent. My daughter was a little afraid of all the spiders in the play area down in the basement. Other than that, it was a clean comfortable place to stay.

Labor Day Weekend

Our stay at Knotty Pine was very enjoyable. We take a yearly family trip every labor day and we would definitely rate this as one of our top trips. The house and bunk house were very well equipped with everything you could need. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean upon arrival. We enjoyed the outdoors as well sitting by the fire and enjoying a day on the water. We hope to come back again.

Lovely cottage and bunkhouse

The cottage and bunkhouse was a perfect spot for a water get-away with family and friends. The bunkhouse was great for the teenage kids to have their own space. The cottage was clean and the kitchen was equipped with all the amenities of home. In addition, the quality of linens and towels was great and having access to a washer and dryer allowed for fresh towels and beach gear whenever we wanted. Perfect location on the water to have access to boat sports and leisurely trips on the water. thanks for a lovely stay!

Great cottage for a family vacation in the Northwoods!

We loved our stay at Knotty Pine! Plenty of room for all 10 adults and children. Kids loved having the private bunkhouse. Great location...plentiful shoreline, so we had enough privacy from neighbors. Close to town, but felt secluded. Everything was clean, cottage well-stocked with linens, kitchen gadgets, etc. We would absolutely recommend staying here and are thinking of making this a biannual family outing!

Perfect for family gathering

We loved the location on the channel, watching the boats pass by and the sun sparkling on the water was so relaxing! The bunk house was great for the older kids. All beds and furniture newer and comfortable. The cabin is beautifully remodeled and stocked with anything needed. We enjoyed days on the chain and evenings by the bonfire. Owners where amazingly accommodating and house was immaculately clean. We met the local man who cares for the cabin, who was very friendly and it is evident he takes pride in his work. We had a great week and hope to be back for years to come!

Great location, comfortable accommodations, and well appointed.

What can I say, but we’ll be back! Excellent communication from the owner, fantastic level of detailed information and instructions, location is perfect in the middle of the chain, sandy shoreline for swimming, great fishing off the dock at dusk (we caugh walleye, perch, rock bass, crappie, and bluegill), and the cabin has enough room for all but not too much that you don’t get lost from each other. Bunk house is perfect for families with older kids.

This was a terrific find. The property is exactly as advertised and extremely well equipped, clean and very up to date. Right on a river within easy distance of Eagle River. The owners have gone out of their way to include information about Eagle Right and surrounding area. We had a great time and would definitely visit again

Waterside Luxury

Our family stayed in this beautifully remodeled luxury cottage in Eagle River. It is located directly on the channel in between Eagle and Otter lake. The cottage and outside bunkhouse open up to a spacious outdoor living area with patio furniture and fire pit right alongside the water. Just a few stairs down to the water there is a large pier with plenty of space to sit and relax and the water is shallow and clear. The house interior is all brand new with a lovely kitchen, bath and 3 beds on the main level and an additional brand new bath in the basement. There is WiFi available, plenty of parking outside and is far enough away from all the neighbors to be private. Andrea is a fantastic host. Highly recommended!

Great cabin!

Both the cabin and bunk house were beautiful, well kept and very comfortable. The location was perfect ... on the water and across the street from a park, beach and boat launch. The owner was responsive and extremely helpful. Can’t wait to stay again!!
