“We loved our overnight stay at The Chanticleer. We had book the reservation for the wrong day and the owner(?) was very accommodating in helping us resolve 5he issue. The Inn itself was such a quaint peaceful throwback - reminding us of childhood trips long ago. Beautiful lake views from our room and a spot on dinner recommendation rounded out a perfect evening stop on our way to UP for a little getaway. “The resort was close to Pelican Lake (25 min drive) and clean. The resort is quite outdated. We checked in and went to the bar and no one was there. We hung out and left to dine at another restaurant. No extras in the shower for bathroom and the bed crowded to the middle. It met our needs but not for the price.”
