“This is a fairly new, smallish hotel. The room and beds were comfortable. Cleaning staff, if I remember correctly, cleaned the room every other day, which was fine for us. The room with 2 queen beds is long and narrow, with a useful seating area at one end but not much storage, and a bit of a tight squeeze between the bed and the desk. Bathroom is nice and clean. Our room faced the back of the hotel (away from University Ave.), which made it quiet; other side might be less so. There is no...

“Breakfast in bed was really nice. And the outside deck has terrific views. There was plenty of provisions- coffee, tea, water, as well as wine and cheese spread and cookies every day. Planning to stay again already, next time bringing my son with us who is a foodie. Top restaurants right next door with amazing waterfront views.”

“I’ll start by saying The Lodge operates best when Leveena is working the front desk. I hope I spelled her name correctly. She took amazing care of my needs as I was recently out of a major surgery and was not able to walk. On her days off, The Lodge seemed understaffed, and certain things did not work smoothly, starting with trying to reach the front desk. One night it took nearly two hours for someone to be available to bring me ice. The restaurant next door suffered through similar staffing...

“Decent Breakfast, parking was decent, parking lot needs maintenance, unfortunately the restaurant and bar were not open during our stay but the Emeryville Public Market with various choices of places to eat is an easy walk away.”
