OTTIMA POSIZIONE, PET FRIENDLY, FAMILY FRIENDLY

10 minuti a piedi da Martha's Vineyards bellissima State Beach e 5 minuti in bicicletta dai negozi e ristoranti di Edgartown! Luminoso cottage soleggiato con 3 camere da letto, appena fuori dalla spiaggia RD, adiacente all'ampia pista ciclabile dell'isola che collega a tutte le 5 città e spiagge di Martha's Vineyard. Questa posizione non può essere battuta! Perfetto per una settimana facile in spiaggia in famiglia. Non starai cercando parcheggio, solo a piedi o in bicicletta fino alla spiaggia al mattino. Miglia di sentieri boscosi con vista sull'acqua dall'altra parte della strada per una passeggiata mattutina o fare jogging, quindi un rapido risciacquo nella doccia esterna.

COME ARRIVARE

In serata, a piedi, in bicicletta o prendere l'autobus per Oak Bluffs o Edgartown per cena e vita notturna. La fermata dell'autobus è a 50 piedi dalla porta di casa e arriva ogni 15 minuti in estate. C'è un parcheggio per due auto ma molti ospiti non portano nemmeno una macchina, non ne hai davvero bisogno da questa posizione. È a soli 15 minuti di autobus dal traghetto Oak Bluffs e l'autobus ospita biciclette.

La porta principale entra in un soggiorno a pianta aperta - sala da pranzo con divano componibile, poltrona reclinabile futon, TV via cavo e lettore DVD. Prosegui lungo il corridoio verso una cucina separata ben fornita a sinistra con tutti gli utensili da cucina, pentole e padelle ecc ...
Tre camere da letto e bagno con lavanderia sono fuori dalla sala oltre la cucina.

Una camera da letto - Ha un letto matrimoniale e un sacco di spazio nell'armadio. Due finestre rivolte a ovest riempiono questa stanza con una bella luce del tardo pomeriggio. Questa camera dispone di A / C per tenerti fresco nelle notti calde ..

Cortile privato ideale per barbecue con ampi mobili da giardino, tavoli e sedie. Risciacquare nella nuova doccia esterna dopo una nuotata a State Beach.

STORIA

Il cottage fa parte di un complesso di edifici che un tempo costituivano lo storico Martha's Vineyard COOP Dairy. Questa soleggiata tre camere da letto una volta serviva come casa di trasporto. La Martha's Vineyard COOP Dairy era un impianto di imbottigliamento per latte e latte operativo fino alla metà degli anni '60. Durante il suo fieno giorno, tutti gli agricoltori dell'isola hanno portato il loro latte per essere lavorato e imbottigliato qui. L'unità dei proprietari era il fienile del Dairy ed è adiacente alla casa di trasporto.

QUI SONO ALCUNE COSE DIVERTENTI CHE VANNO 'NELLE VICINANZE

BIKE - Ottima posizione come campo base per andare in bicicletta sull'isola. Portare la propria bicicletta o noleggiarne facilmente uno, il negozio di noleggio bici è a soli 10 minuti a piedi verso la città, e consegnerà anche.

PESCA - A solo 1/2 miglio di distanza la curva della spiaggia stradale offre alcuni dei migliori surfcasting sul Vineyard, dirigiti per circa un chilometro e mezzo lungo la strada e lascia una linea dal grande ponte, ottimo spot per Stripers e Blues.

CLAMMING - A soli dieci minuti a piedi, lo stagno di Sengekontacket è di gran lunga uno dei migliori luoghi di villeggiatura dell'isola.

INCREDIBILE - 5 minuti a piedi verso la spiaggia è una cascata dove lo stagno salato si precipita sotto la strada. Ottimo posto per la cattura di deliziosi granchi blu.

KITE SURFING - Ben noto per il suo grande windsurf, lo stagno Sengekontacket è presto conosciuto come uno dei migliori posti nella costa orientale per il kitesurf. Il vigneto nativo, Rob Douglas, si è guadagnato il titolo di velista più veloce al mondo e può essere regolarmente rinvenuto sul lago Sengekontacket.

KAYAK - Sul lato opposto della State Beach, a 10 minuti in bicicletta, i Kayaks possono essere noleggiati da Island Spirit Kayak. Offrono anche grandi tour giornalieri e tramonti sull'isola.

SALTO DEL PONTE - Un miglio lungo la strada, niente come il grande ponte di Jumping off State Beach! Troverai regolarmente bambini e adulti a godersi il 10 'tuffo nelle fresche acque del Vineyard Sound in una calda giornata estiva.

SNORKELING
Niente come i Caraibi, ma le acque qui sono tipicamente sorprendentemente chiare. Galleggiando intorno ai moli di roccia di uno dei due ponti lungo State Beach, puoi cavalcare la corrente dentro o fuori dallo stagno di Sengekontacket. Piccoli pesci, conchiglie, stelle marine, granchi e occasionali Spigoli spaccati sono la tua preda. La corsa libera nella corrente vale la pena. Dopo 15 anni di vita qui, questo è ancora uno dei miei preferiti in una giornata calda!

Super Charming, Great Location, Thoughtful Host

The property is just as cute an convenient as advertised. It was our first time bringing our dog on vacation, and he loved the fenced-in yard. (Note for pet owners, he could get out to the driveway if he tried.) The sunset and sunrise walks were amazing, especially with the nature preserves on the road. Beds were very comfortable. We loved all the little touches the owners provide. If you like nature and don't mind some short walks, this is the place. We also loved rhe history and backstory.

Cozy Cottage - We loved every moment!

We were so pleased to stay at this property. The location - close to the beach, and an excellent location for all that we wanted to do. We brought our car since we had our pups with us (important tip: make sure you can get vehicle reservations to/from the island on the Steamship Authority, they book up fast). We saw lots of bicyclists and the buses were always running, as other transportation options if you come without a car. The house couldn’t have been more perfect. It was part of the Co-Op Dairy from the 40s-60s and I loved the vintage nods in the decor. It was just so comfortable and inviting. I loved all of the care clearly put into the house. The bedrooms were good sized and we had plenty of space. Check in and communications were excellent. We all founds the beds comfortable, and we cooked many meals in the kitchen. We enjoyed grilling and making s’mores on the patio. The special touches of flowers and herbs in the house on arrival show just how much the owners care about guest experience - they have thought of everything.We enjoyed the gentle sandy slope and swimming at beaches, which are close. Go early for roadside parking, or walk. There is a lifeguard at the bend. We appreciated the beach chairs at the house. We rented kayaks on Sengekontacket Pond, jumped from Jaws Bridge, saw the Aquinnah Cliffs, fished, rode the Flying Horses Carousel, shopped in the towns, visited Jaws filming sites, and took long naps. Perfection! Thank you!
We loved the design and decor. Counter space is limited but we were able to cook many meals easily. Pup approved.
Plenty of space to hang out or nap.
Evenings were relaxing.
We enjoyed Fourth of July fireworks from the beach

Cozy Martha's Vineyard

Was exactly what I expected for our stay on the Island. I grew up on Cape Cod and looking forward to a cozy cottage on the island. The property mgr also lives on the property but I only saw her once when I communicated that the coffee maker broke and was promptly replaced with a new one. Short drive or pleasant walk to downtown Edgartown with its restaurants and shops. Love the outside shower. Was there in September so the beaches are everywhere. Great farms on the island so it's easy and fun to shop for veggies. Not to mention the fish markets at Menemsha! Would definitely want to come back.

Perfect stay in Edgartown

Booked this somewhat last minute wanted to be near family in Edgartown, this was perfect location. rented bikes for the week and was easy to get into Edgartown with bike or a walk. Location is also great to State Beach. I felt like the host at thought of everything that I might have forgotten.

Vineyard Get Away

For the last few years my we’ve taken a trip to the Vineyard to celebrate our anniversary after eloping there in the fall of 2020. We decided that it would be nice to bring the dog and invite family down, Mikes place gave us the perfect spot to do that it’s a great location with plenty of room for five adults and small dog, the house was clean and has a great outdoor shower as well. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Great location

The communication prior and during our stay was great. We’ve been renting for over 11 years in MV and this is one of our favorite so far! Perfect 4 me and my 4 adult daughters. Based on what we like to do this location was perfect. The home had great amenities and beachy. Will definitely be back!

Even better this time!

Turhis was the second year we stayed at this property. Directly across the street you can enter the bike path and go a short distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants and the ferry. Mike and Sandy made us feel extra welcome this year with a new set of pots and pans and treats in the pantry and refrigerator including relishes and glazes for cooking, all the condiments we would need and Starbucks coffees and cocoas. There's an enclosed yard for privacy and a safe place for the dogs. We'll be back!

A gem of a find!

Mike's home was the perfect stay for our family! We enjoyed many meals outdoors on the picnic table and nights listening to the record player after dinner! It was also a great distance from Edgartown, making it very easy to walk or bike back and forth. It was a comfortable stay that we would book again and again!

Awesome stay and location

Property is right across from the bike path and great location to town and state beach! While it is right on the main road, it is a quiet spot. The front yard is awesome for hanging outside. Outdoor shower was incredible! Would definitely stay again! Owner is super responsive too. Thank you for an awesome stay!

Excellent location

Wonderful stay. The location was great. We walked the bike path to the beach daily. The house had enough space for the 4 of us. Outdoor space is enclosed with a tall fence and trees so it feels private even though it is on a busy road and you can hear the cars when outside. You can not hear any road noise at all when you are inside. Outdoor shower is wonderful and the kitchen had all the dishes and appliances needed. The only downside is that you do have to cross a busy road to get to the bike path but it is well worth it for the proximity to the beach and trails. Not fancy or new but very charming and low key with everything you need. We loved it.

Comfy beds, great outdoor shower, bike path entrance is across the street and state beach is just down the street. Groceries, packy and pizza a 1/4 mile away. What more can you ask for? I'd come again for sure!

Great little modest place in close proximity to the beach

Good value, ample space for all of us. The A/C worked great when we needed it! Nice little outdoor area to enjoy as well. Some slight noise of cars passing but nothing that really bothered us. It is right across from a wooded walking/bike trail as well as the main bike route. We couldn’t get the BBQ to work but I’m sure the owner would have addressed it ASAP if I had reached out to him.

We got out

The pictures look bright and fresh, but this property smelt damp, the ceiling in one of the bedrooms was covered in black mold. The bed linens supplied smelled musty, in one bed they were so bad it was actually not possible to sleep in it. One wall was basically rotting wood. We booked for a week and stayed one night. Did not bother to raise issues as unfixable, needs complete reno to live up to price tag.

Family vacation

Best location!! This house is located so close to everything. The beach is walking distance and the bike path is across the street that goes all over the island. We road our bikes into Edgartown and to the Jaws Bridge. This is a true beach cottage!! Very comfortable. Mike is a great Host!

No place like it.

Quaint, homey, dog friendly which is a huge plus. Also, fire pit in backyard was fun every night. We will definitely be back.

Perfect place that is close to OB and Edgartown. Mike was quick to respond to our questions and the house was perfect. Very pleased with our stay!

Nice house in a great location!

We just got back from a week's stay at Mike's place and it was just lovely. The location is amazing! Less than a 10-minute walk to get to the beach, market, and someplace to eat. The house itself is cozy and well equipped. It rained for quite a bit during our stay so we didn't take advantage of the outdoor space as much as I would've liked but there is ample space outside. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Beach Cottage in Fantastic Location

Had a great stay at this 3 bedroom beach cottage with closed in yard that was walking distance to the beach, grocery store/restaurants and even Edgartown. Owner was very responsive to our needs/questions before and during the stay. Not fancy but has everything you need for a week at the beach.

Excellent location

Everything was as shown on Vrbo, short walk to bus, even going through a nor’easters was no problem! Would definitely recommend and we are planning for possibly next year
